Lumina Lacquers Nail Lacquer Swatches and Review
I cannot TELL you how excited I have been to show off these 5 beauties that will be in this post. I got these a little over a week ago and was FLOORED when I saw them. Even my boyfriend snatched 1 out of my hand and said he loved it!
Lumina Lacquers is a newer Indie Maker and if she keeps this up, she will do VERY well in this venture! The creator, Tatiana, approached me awhile ago saying she was coming out with an indie line soon and wanted to know if I would review for her. Tatiana is also a fellow blogger, so I’ve spoken to her prior to knowing about her indie line and I had complete faith in her venture sight unseen.
Ok enough rambling – ready to see these beauties?
We Rule The Night:
I am going to start this off with the polish that actually got my boyfriend to STOP what he was doing and take the bottle from me. His words were “I haven’t seen any like this”. Not that he was going to put it on or anything, but he does show interest from time to time, you know, doing the supportive boyfriend thing, and this was a response I had NEVER gotten from him. We Rule the Night is a gorgeous royal blue jelly with small multi color hexes, silver and red small squares, medium green, yellow and silver hexes and silver holographic crescent moons. I used 3 coats for this mani and I absolutely LOVE this. I’m blown away!
Written In The Stars:
Written in the Stars is a mashup of multi colored shredded glitters, silver diamonds and silver stars. I used this over Koh City Sky. This is only 1 coat of Written in the Stars and plenty of glitter came out with each application. The stars were perfectly suspended with the rest of the glitter and came out easily (I was a little surprised by this) and no fishing! I was able to get 1 -2 stars with each dip of the brush. Love!
The Siren:
The Siren was the first one that grabbed me when I saw it in the bottle. It didn’t disappoint on the nail either! The Siren is a gorgeous pearly glitter mix of white, mint and pale pink hexes and smaller pearly white hexes. I used 1 coat over Chick Polish Raven’s Egg. I really loved this one and I know it will get a ton of use, especially in the spring time!
Iris:
Iris was the one that shocked me a bit! In the bottle it was pretty, but on the nail over black it popped! Iris contains multi colored shredded glitter with small matte white glitter all suspended in a subtle clear base with green iridescent shimmer! Absolutely stunning! This is 1 coat of Iris over Sinful Colors Black on Black.
Flor:
Flor is another pretty glitter combo! Teal, pearly white and lilac hex glitters with small magenta and pearly white micro glitters in a clear base. I used 1 coat over Barielle’s Greenwich Village. This is kind of the darker version of The Siren!
What I absolutely loved was that all of these glittery wonders were unlike other glitters I have. Sometimes you see a set and can pick out 1-2 dupes from them and you already know what to expect and need the formula to wow you. With all 5 of these, I was wowed. The formula, the color combos, the glitter combos – all of it. I was so impressed I purchased 2 this afternoon to hurry and get them in the Indie Giveaway Set In Lacquer and I were doing (which sadly ended an hour ago!) I snagged The Siren and Iris for the giveaway!

In love with We Rule The Night!
I’m a sucker for moon and star glitter. And I was oh so disappointed with the thickness and tricky application of Rainbow Honey’s Celestial Moon. If We Rule the Night is better for me, I will be oh so happy! It’s now at the top of my list to buy in October!
SoFlaJo has amazing looking polishes! Thanks for the swatches and review. Of course I had to picked up a bottle of We Rule The Night and I couldn’t resist Sugar Skulls as well ;)
Oops! I meant Lumina Lacquer! Holy Cow! I was also looking at SFlaJo’s collections too. Hee Hee.
