It’s time for another Little Box Of Horror’s already… and for September 2024 the theme is Beetlejuice!

This month I have 20 items to share and there’s lots more in the shop!

For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased).  For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Monarch Lacquer top coat over it. 

For my lighting set up I use artificial lighting due to my day job, my set up involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

The shop opens on the 18th and will remain open until the 30th, so let’s jump in and take a look!

BCB Lacquers | I Myself Am Strange And Unusual

Inspiration: Beetlejuice

Description: I Myself Am Strange and Unusual is a dark cornflower blue crelly with green/blue/pink glass flakes, green/gold/orange multichrome flakes, black flakes and purple glow in the dark pigment. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Beetlejuice

Description: I’m The Ghost With The Most, Babe is a black tinted jelly base loaded with green to pink to blue glass flakes, green to blue glass flakes, as well as purple and black metallic flakes. I sued 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Crystal Knockout | Haunt ‘Til It Hurts

Inspiration: The Beetlejuice cartoon 

Description: Haunt ‘Til It Hurts is a dark grey (cold) to white (warm) crelly based thermal with matte magenta and lavender glitters, as well as white shreds. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Beetlejuice The Musical

Description: We’re All On a Hit List is a metallic multichrome shimmer base that shifts from copper to gold to green with red-orange micro flakies and holographic micro glitter.  I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Inspired by eccentric artist and step mother of Lydia, Delia Deetz.

Description: Delia is a candy apple red with orange to red shifting aurora pigment. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration:  Inspired by fan art featuring Adam and Barbara Maitland.

Description: Haunted Hearts is denim blue with a mix of rainbow flakies, aurora pigments and tiny glitters. Can be worn sheer, opaque or as topper. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Lydia Deets

Description: I, Myself, Am Strange and Unusual is a deep indigo base with fine blue/purple shifty shimmer and scattered sparks of pink/purple larger particles shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Inspired by Beeltejuice’s boast that he could get rid of the living.

Inspiration: Inspired by Beetlejuice’s challenge to Barbara.

Description: Make My Millennium is a black jelly base loaded with purple to pink shifting magnetic pigment, as well as microflakes that shift green to blue to violet. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration:  Beetlejuice response to being freed after his name being called 3 times 

Description: The Juice Is Loose is a green to blue shifting shimmer over a buildable dark base with reflective glitters silver flakes and scattered holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Beetlejuice’s red tux

Description: The Ghost With the Most, Babe is a burgundy base with red magnetic pull, blue to purple to pink shifting multichrome shimmer and added holo flakies. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The magnetic pull is on the subtle side. I only magnetized the middle and index nails for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!

Inspiration: Inspired by the chant to summon Beetlejuice. 

Description: Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! is a clear base filled with black reflective glitter pigment, purple metallic flakes and multichrome flakes that shift lime green/green/blue/indigo. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.

Paradox Polish | Are You Gross Under There?

Inspiration:  1980s Beetlejuice. When Lydia asks if the ghosts under the sheets were gross. 

Description: Are You Gross Under There? is a clear based topper with neon green glitter, black glitters and purple holo glitter. I used 2 coats over bare gel x nails for these photos.

Inspiration: Beetlejuice himself.

Description: It’s Showtime!! is a blackened purple base with purple to copper to lime aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Paradox | Lydias Lilies Lip Glaze

Inspiration: 1980s Lydia

Description: Lydia’s Lilies Lip Glaze is a crystal gloss with black micro crystals and nourishing lip oils. This is a flavorless and scentless lip glaze and the sparkle from it is just enough to be noticeable, but not so much that it goes “overboard” with it.

Description: Beetlejuice Multichrome Eyeshadow is a blue to green to lime green multichrome. These are really pigmented shadows that glide on nice and smooth.

Inspiration: Inspired by the quote from Adam in the movie and the Handbook For The Recently Deceased  

Description: Handbook For The Recently Deceased is a medium pink polish with a lovely violet shimmer, scattered holo flakes and ultra chrome flakes shifting through green, pink and teal. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Description: Never Trust The Living is a rich sea foam green polish that’s filled with scattered holo flakes and ultra chrome micro flakies shifting through red, orange and yellow. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Waiting Room was inspired by Beetlejuice’s burgundy wedding suit.

Description: Habitat for Demons is a medium icy blue base with purple-blue-pink micro Flakies, holo flakies, with electric blue shimmer that glows in the dark blue. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
