Happy Monday! Today I have the May 2024 Little Box of Horrors Box to share – and the theme this month is Spooky Cartoons!
This month I have 34 items to share – including 2 Pride sets from Paradox Polish. Unfortunately there is no video again this month. I’m in full graduation swing with my son and with all the festivities and my work schedule – I don’t think I will have time. If I do though – I will absolutely set it up, but right now it doesn’t look promising. Next month things will calm though and be back to normal where I will have more time for videos.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased). For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Monarch Lacquer top coat over it.
For my lighting set up I use artificial lighting due to my day job, my set up involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).
For my nails – they are Apres Gel X nails throughout this post, and the style is Extra Short Stiletto. These are clear nails, and I do not use any type of blurring/altering base.
The shop opened on the 18th and will remain open until the 30th, so let’s jump in and take a look!

Description: Unsettling Lore is a purple to blue to red multichrome with pink to orange to gold flakes, white hex glitters and holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Dark & Twisted Lacquer | Hex Girl
Inspiration: “Scooby Doo & The Witch’s Ghost” My inspo from the cartoon is an image of one of The Hex Girls.
Description: Hex Girl is a warm, blackened purple jelly base with gold, red, black, flakes and matching glitters and some slight gold dust shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Description: I’m Not Afraid of Ghosts! is a bright green crelly base with an assortment of colors and shred glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The polish is slightly more green in person but it has a tealish lean to it. It’s a difficult color to photograph, so my photos aren’t exact.

Description: Radio Demon is a deep eggplant purple jelly base with green microflake shimmer, as well as red to bronze to copper magnetic pigment. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat and I only magnetized the middle and ring nails so you can see it worn both ways.

Inspiration: Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas
Description: Something In The Wind is a small solid perfume that’s easy to carry around and has a really nice scent. The scent isn’t too overpowering and lingers for a good amount of time. I usually apply to my wrists and on my neck and it’s incredibly pleasant and easy to reapply if needed.
Something In The Wind scent has top notes of citrus zest, raspberry and currents, mid notes of coconut, rose and peach and base notes of light musk, tonka and sandalwood.
This is a very pleasant and calming scent.

Paradox Polish | Pride Magnetic Polish Collection (Only Available as a Set)
Paradox Polish Pride magnetic Collection is a 6 piece set that is only available as a set. They will be available from May 18th until June 8th. Full swatch video will be on my YouTube channel on June 1st.
All 6 shades have a slightly thicker consistency, but self leveled beautifully.

Love Wins is a ruby red creme base with a delicate holo silver magnetic pull. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Make Magic is a vibrant green with a delicate holo silver magnetic pigment. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Peace is a Tahoe blue with a delicate holo silver magnetic pigment. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Pride is a blurple creme delicate holo silver magnetic pigment. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade did cause minor staining to my nails (both gel and my natural) but it was a light purple tinting.
This shade also alters with top coat. It deepens in color. To retain initial shade, use a water based top coat and then normal top coat. Final photo shows the top 2 nails with waterbased top coat and top coat, bottom 2 nails show just top coat so you can see the color difference.
S.F. Pride is an international orange with delicate holo silver magnetic pigment. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Thrive is a chartreuse like yellow creme with a delicate holo silver magnetic pigment. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Paradox Polish | Arcane Eye Shadow

Description: Arcane is a multichrome eyeshadow that shifts gold to lime green to pink.
This is a beautifully pigmented eyeshadow with so much shiftiness to it! While I recommend using primer for lasting power (especially if you have oily lids like me!) my photos show it without any base/primer. It packs a punch!
