Here we are – back for another Little Box of Horrors post! This time we’re looking at the Little Box Of Horrors May 2021 Box with a theme of Supernatural!

New to Little Box of Horrors? Well then, let’s explain it a bit:

This will be a bi-monthly collaboration shop that will consist of 25ish makers. Each bi-monthly shop will have either a horror, sci-fi, thriller, supernatural, paranormal, or mystery like theme – and the products will then be inspired by that theme.

This month the theme is Supernatural, and the makers brought their A-game for it. I am a fan of Supernatural, so I was happy to see this theme come up.

Little Box Of Horrors has set swatchers – however, makers are also able to send to their own swatchers as well. I will link the set swatchers at the end of this post.

Also when I say “set swatchers” makers aren’t forced to send to any of us, they can choose if they want to – so each of us have bits and pieces, but I think we’re all missing an item here and there. We also have a mix of bloggers, swatchers and live video to show.

Inspiration: Inspired by Pilot Episode #1 The Lady in the White Dress (based on La Llorona)

Description: Tragic Circumstances is a white crelly base packed with gold and green shimmers, aurora shifting flakes, and a light sprinkling of black holo blend. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer | Rascally Deity

Inspiration: Inspired by the deity who needs no introduction, notorious Daddy-O, Chuckles, and Chuck Shurly. The one, the only, God.

Description: Rascally Deity is a deep olive green crelly base that shifts with a strong gold to copper to pink shimmer and tiny copper micro glitter. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer | Tidal Mist Spray Lotion

Inspiration: The Winchester Boys

Description: Tidal Mist is a light, quick absorbing, spray-able lotion. For the Supernatural theme we have the scent Sexy as a Winchester – and it’s a blend of sandalwood, cinnamon, patchouli, amber and soft musk. Very genderless and it’s a fun, spicy scent.

After showering (or whenever you need lotion) spritz it all over and let it soak in (it doesn’t take long!) Makes it easy it you are in a hurry but need the hydration.

Description: I’ve seen Apipila come up with some incredible plates, but when this one arrived – I was majorly happy with it! This is a stainless steel stamping plate with a variety of Supernatural inspired images. From common phrases to general fan goodies and more.

The etching was nicely done on this plates. It’s a 10 x 15 cm sized plate

Baroness X | Fight The Fairies! (Magnetic)

Inspiration: Inspired by S6E9, the fairy attack.

Description: Fight the Fairies is a deeep olive, almost black base with gold to green magnetic and OGUP-like large particle shimmer that shifts red to bronze. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I only magnetized the middle and ring finger so you can see it both ways.

Description: Hey Ass-butt is a magenta crelly based holo polish with pink to red to orange to gold shifting flakes, gun metal, white and gold flakes with red and orange shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

BCB Lacquers | Whipped Sugar Scrub

Inspiration:

Description: A whipped sugar scrub with a custom oil blend for hydration and exfoliation! This mouthwatering boozy scent starts with top notes of apple, red currant, red wine, cinnamon, and a hint of orange. With bottom notes of sweet maple, spice and vanilla finish off this irresistible custom fragrance oil blend. This has white and brown sugar for extra exfoliation. On top you will see a sprinkle of gold beads and gold mica.

This smells like a cinnamon apple and it’s delicious. Fruity and spicy all at once. Plus the creamy scrub is great for exfoliation with some lathering.

Description: Calliope is a dark indigo crelly base with rainbow glitter in various sizes and blue to fuchsia to purple shifting flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Dark Moon Esscentuals | Dirty B*tch Instant Facial

Inspiration: Dean’s use of the phrase always made me laugh-it’s also something that I heard my dad say a few times while fixing our cars!

Description: A hybrid of an exfoliating facial cleanser and a facial mask. This unique product is the answer to your skincare dreams!

To use I just wet my face, applied a small amount and massaged into my skin in small, circular motions. I let it sit for about 10 minutes, then I used a wash cloth to wash it off. Afterward, my skin was super soft and nicely exfoliated.

LynBDesigns | Mmm… Pie Wax Melt

Inspiration:

Description: Mmm…Pie is described as “aroma of freshly picked blueberries, fresh cut granny smith apples, smothered in butter, cream, and cinnamon, with a background of fresh baked crust.”

The blueberries are the prominent fruit note, but the granny smiths give it a bit of a tart kick. All mixed with fresh baked pie crush – it’s delicious.

Inspiration: Neon Sign highlighting Dean’s goals

Description: Eat Pie Kill Demons is a neon orange leaning red jelly base with intense blue to green shimmers with a glow in the dark effect. Now the glow is a whitish blue, however it distorts into a red due to the neon pigments and but with a whiting blue “backlighting” looking effect.

I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. The GITD effect is a bit lighter in color than my photo of it shows.

Nailed It Nail Polish | Walking On Sunshine

Inspiration: Charlie Bradbury

Description: Walking On Sunshine is a sheer, soft blue jelly base loaded with gold, red, copper and green crystal flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

You should only need 1 coat of top coat for this polish, unless you do really thick coats and really pack those flakes on. Then you might need 2 coats for a smooth finish.

Paradox Polish | Fire & Brimstone Shea Butter Cold Process Soap

Inspiration: Visiting Hell, escaping Hell or being the king of Hell

Description: Fire & Brimstone Shea Butter Cold Process Soap is a red and black soap with activated charcoal and shea butter based, and its scented in fire, brimstone… and a bit of bbq. It also has the anti possession symbol on top.

Scent wise it’s slightly… spicy? I think that’s the word I’m looking for, but it’s got that smokey, spicy thing going on. My son actually asked if he could have the soap when I was done because he liked the scent, but he prefers activated charcoal soaps/body washes. He breaks out easily (we both have combo leaning oily skin) and it helps keep the body acne at bay.

Soap has a good lather too. Feels super creamy and I quite like the scent.

Ribbits Stickits | Un-frog-gettable Hand & Cuticle Cream

Inspiration: Sam, Dean, and Castiel

Description: A trio of hand and cuticle creams in scents inspired by Sam, Dean and Castiel. Scent descriptions are as follows:

My People Skills Are Rusty: fresh air, crisp water, pineapple, oranges, coconut, grapefruit, green apple, pine, jasmine, apricot, vanilla, sandalwood, moss, lily, cedar, amber, musk, ocean breeze. This is a bright, fruity and floral scent. It’s on the lighter scent but still smells… clean.

I Lost My Shoe: leafy greens, herbs, birch leaves, lemon, clementine, jasmine, ozone, vetiver, sandalwood, cedar, coriander, tobacco, tonka bean, vanilla, and amber. This has that nice musk from jasmine while being a little spicy and smooth. It’s an interesting blend that I wasn’t sure about at first, but then I fell in love with it.

I Love Me Some Pie: Macintosh apples, cinnamon, clove, green leaves, almond, pie crust, vanilla, bourbon, caramel. Cinnamon apple pie. DELICIOUS!

Ribbits Stickits | Waterslide Decals

Inspiration: Supernatural

Description: Waterslide decals are best compared to temporary tattoos with a slight difference (other than it being on your nails vs skin). You still wet the back, but then you slide the image off the paper backing and place on the nail.

Ribbits Stickits brings us 3 sheets of Supernatural inspired waterslide decals!

Cut out the design you want, place in warm water for about 10-15 seconds, lift and then slide the image off and place on the nail. Pat dry and remove air bubbles – then top coat to seal it in.

This has a nice, lightly floral and herbal like scent. It’s soothing!

Inspiration: Sam and Dean’s need to have everything road ready.

Description: This solid lotion bar will help moisturize dry areas without greasiness or stickiness. It looks like a bar of soap at first glance, but when you pick it up, your body heat melts the lotion on contact so you can smooth it into your skin.

I love the citrus kick, but also that touch of chili pepper!
