Happy Sunday! I still am recovering from the flu. Body aches are gone but I’m so tired all of the time, and this cough just won’t go away. Nick and Jacob now have it, so that’s fun. Whole house is sick and at different points in the illness.
Today we will be looking at the first Little Box of Horrors for 2025! For January the theme is Mythical Creatures!
So I know the collage has 19 items, but i actually have 17 to share. I was sent the Penelope Luz duo which I think was original said to be January, but then it wasn’t there… and now it’s February and it’s not there either. So we’ll go over 17 of the 19 in the collage.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased). For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Monarch Lacquer top coat over it.
For my lighting set up I use artificial lighting due to my day job, my set up involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).
The shop opened on the 18th and will remain open until the 30th, so let’s jump in and take a look!

Humble Bee Polish | Forsaken
Inspiration: Fenrir, a giant wolf in Norse mythology, the son of Loki and the giantess Angrboða. Fated to kill Odin during Ragnarök, he is bound by the gods but eventually breaks free to fulfill his role in the destruction of the world.

Lemming Lacquer | Nuckelavee
Inspiration: The Nuckelavee is a Scottish demon that is also known as “The Devil of the Sea”. It has no skin, and the man on top of the horse can make a shriek that deafens anyone unfortunate enough to hear it. It is believed to bring plague upon where ever it travels.
