Happy Friday! I have 16 items to share for Little Box of Horrors January 2024 shop… and the theme is Zombies!
Okay so a little about Little Box of Horrors… and an update! This was a bi-monthly collaboration shop, but as of this month and onward – it’s now monthly! It typically consists of 25-35 makers. Each shop will have either a horror, sci-fi, thriller, supernatural, paranormal, or mystery like theme – and the products will then be inspired by that theme.
The shop opens on the 18th and will remain open until the 30th, so you have a decently long shopping window.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased). For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Monarch Lacquer top coat over it.
For my lighting set up I use artificial lighting due to my day job, my set up involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).
For my nails – they are Apres Gel X nails throughout this post, and the style is Extra Short Stiletto.

Dark & Twisted Lacquer | Being a Zombie Makes You Hangry!
Inspiration: inspired by the movie “Return Of The Living Dead Part 3”.
Description: Being A Zombie Makes You Hangry! is a medium pink crelly base loaded with black flakes, as well as black, yellow and purple glitters and shreds. This polish also glows blue in the dark. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Dark & Twisted Lacquer | Hang Onto Your Husbands, Girls!
Inspiration: by the movie “Practical Magic” & the scene where Gillian says the quote “Hang onto your husbands, girls!”
Description: Hang Onto Your Husbands, Girls! is an orange multichrome and shifts orange, red, yellow, and a little purple at extreme angles. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: inspired by the movie “The Return Of The Living Dead”.
Description: I Want Brains! is a black jelly base with a mix of neon green, blue, red, flakes, circles and glitters. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoothing topper and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Dark & Twisted Lacquer | Rise & Bite!
Inspiration: inspired by the movie “Return Of The Living Dead Part 2”.
Description: Rise & Bite! is a dark teal jelly base with a copper magnetic pigment and red holo micros glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I only magnetized the middle and ring nails so you can see it both ways.

Description: They’re Coming For You! is a red crelly base packed with black, white, and silver holo flakes, circles, and glitters. I used 3 thin photos, glitter smoother topper and glossy top coat for these photos.

Jen & Berries | President Evil
Inspiration: inspired by Oswell E. Spencer, the president of the Umbrella Corporation in the Resident Evil world. The polish itself was inspired by marketing artwork for Resident Evil Re:Verse.
Description: President Evil is a periwinkle crelly base packed with pink, purple and blue shifting flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

LBH Lacquer | Chris Redfield (PAID PR)
Inspiration: Resident Evil Movies and the Video Games
Description: LBH Lacquers is the shop brand and they have a polish line now! Chris Redfield is a green to blue shifting metallic multichrome crackle. I used 1 coat over Alchemy Lacquers Love Struck.
This was super easy to use. I did 2 brush strokes on each nail (basically left side then right) and it’s started crackling right away. It was a quick and easy addition. It will drag a little if you overlap areas and it dries quicker than typical polish so you do want to work faster. However – it’s easy to manage and fun!

Inspiration: Army of Darkness where Ash gets ready to kiss a girl he’s met and says “Give Me Some Sugar, Baby”
Description: Give Me Some Sugar, Baby is a violet toned red base loaded with shifty turquoise to blue to green to pink pigment, as well as red to green shifting magnetic pigment. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I only magnetized the middle and ring nails so you can see it both ways.

Luna Lab Creations | Buckle Up Bonehead Wax Melts
Inspiration: What Ash says the zombies skeleton before catapulting him
Description: Wax Melts are a wonderful way to fragrance areas of your home or office.
Buckle Up Bonehead are wax melts shaped like zombies and skeletons and scented in candied Orange, lemon lime, and pineapple with cotton candy with berries tangerine and light musk.
To my nose… it smells like melted NERDS candy!

Description: I Am Dead, But It’s Not So Bad is a dark pinkish red (cold) to clear (warm) jelly based thermal filled with red to orange shifting flakes, scattered black flakes, and holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: The potion from Death Becomes Her
Description: Siempre Viva is a soft multichrome eyeshadow pan that has a pinky purple base with green to blue shift. This is a great all over lid shade if you are in a hurry but still want some oomph – and it’s the kind of color I lean into for work or for when I need some color.

Inspiration: One of my favorite movies is Shaun of the Dead. No matter how many times I watch it, it always makes me laugh.

Inspiration: The classic movie Re-animator
Description: Re-Animator is a clear base loaded with neon pink and neon green glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes, as well as scattered holo, holo bars and holo stars. I used 1 coat over a variety of base colors to see it a few ways. I topped it with glitter smoother and top coat.

I had no application issues with any of the items I received and I did enjoy the mix of polishes!
