It’s the final LBOH post for 2024! We’re going to be taking a look at some of the offerings in the Little Box of Horrors December 2024 shop… and theme is Folklore & Urban Legends!
I have 19 items to share in this months shop, however – I believe a couple pulled out or had the initial wrong month on the packaging. So I will keep them in the post since they are in the video – but I will say that we will likely see them in a future month.

For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased). For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Monarch Lacquer top coat over it.
For my lighting set up I use artificial lighting due to my day job, my set up involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).
The shop opened on the 18th and will remain open until the 30th, so let’s jump in and take a look!

Inspiration: Bloody Mary Legend
Description: Look in the Mirror My Dear is a glitter loaded topper with red metallic flakes, black and white matte glitters, iridescent flakes, micro holographic glitters.

Humble Bee Polish | Do You Think I’m Beautiful?
Inspiration: Inspiration: Kuchisake-onna, the “Slit-Mouthed Woman,” is a Japanese urban legend about a vengeful spirit with a slit mouth who approaches victims asking, “Am I beautiful?” Her response depends on their answer, often with deadly consequences.
Description: Do You Think I’m Beautiful is a gray crelly base with pink aurora shimmer that shifts red, gold and green.

Lacquer is in the Air | Wraith
Inspiration: Wraiths are ghost like creatures usually seen just after their death. They are said to be the tortured souls of humans after not being able to reach the spirit realm. Usually seen as a hooded figure with glowing eyes.

Inspiration: The chimera
Description: Chimera is a 15ml spray perfume.
Top notes: marshmallow, birch, ozone
Heart Notes: embers, sugar, cinnamon
Base: soft musk, a hint of patchouli, smoke
To my nose, this is a spicy, earthy scent. It’s harder to pinpoint but that’s the best way I can describe it.

Paradox Polish | Yule Cat
Inspiration: The Yule cat, or Jólakötturinn in Icelandic, is a giant, vicious cat from Icelandic folklore that eats people who don’t receive new clothes before Christmas Eve. The legend is said to have originated during the Dark Ages and spread through oral tradition.
Description: Yule Cat is a pink magnetic over a black base with pine tree green and cyan iridescent flake. I used a bar magnet on middle and ring nails and velvet magnet on index and pinky

Peculiar Polish | Kelpies
Inspiration: In Scottish and Irish folklore, a kelpie is a shape-shifting water spirit that can appear as a horse or a human.
Description: Kelpies is a light bright green flakey bomb full of green color shifting ghost chameleon flakes.

Inspiration: Inspired by the whimsical forest faeries folklore
