Kelara Lacquers Planetary Collection Swatches and Review
I have a new indie line to show you today! I received 10 nail lacquers from Kelara Lacquer to review, and I have split them into 2 posts. The first set will be part of the Planetary Collection.
Since this is a new indie line, here is a little about the duo behind the polish:
Kelara Lacquers is a new line of 3-free and cruelty-free handmade nail polish created by me and my fiance, Kellen Scott. The name Kelara is a combination of our names, Kellen and Tara! We just officially opened our shop this past weekend and currently offer three different collections: The Fantasy Collection, The Planetary Collection, and the Colors for a Cause Collection (which supports various charities). We test all our ingredients and polishes thoroughly to ensure we have a quality product and constantly strive to improve our mixing skills and formulas.
I’m seeing more and more couples opening shops together and I personally think it’s adorable!
Ok onto the Planetary Collection swatches! I have 5 polishes from this line. So I am not repetitive, each polish in this post dries to a satin finish and I applied top coat for a shinier finish.
Jupiter:
This was my favorite of the 5. Jupiter is a lovely reddish purple base with holographic micro glitter scattered throughout. I only used 2 coats for this photo .
Neptune:
Neptune is another favorite! Neptune is a medium blue green base with micro holographic glitter scattered within. I used 2 coats for this as well as a top coat.
Uranus:
Uranus is a stunning turquoise base with micro holo glitter scattered in. I wore this to work Friday and got a lot of compliments on it. The color is vibrant and fun! I only needed 2 coats for this polish.
Venus:
Venus is a lovely golden base with copper micro glitters scattered within. This is a very pretty nude type polish to have! I used 2 coats for this mani.
Pluto:
Now I thought this was cute as all get out. Pluto is included in this collection, but it is only available in dwarf (mini) size! This was an unexpected favorite. Pluto has a VERY subtle duo chrome to it that I didn’t notice until I got up and was making food in the kitchen. As my fingers moved Pluto would go from a golden orange color to more of a reddish bronze. I could NOT capture it in photos though! It’s really subtle and really pretty! I used 2 coats for this photo!
Application wise, all 5 of these were good. They dry to a satin finish, so like most satin/matte polishes, dry time was fairly fast. I didn’t experience bald spots or streaking while applying, nor did I come across obvious brush strokes.
Full Size Kelara Lacquers retail for $9.00
Mini size (and remember, Pluto only comes in mini) Kelara Lacquers retail for $4.50

Keep an eye out! Later this week I will have another amazing post up for Kelara Lacquer Colors for a Cause Collection up which includes five fun shades that benefit a variety of charities!
