I have the KBShimmer Winter 2018 Collection to share this morning!

I’m up bright and early and enjoying a little time to myself. Our water heater went out (which I rudely discovered Wednesday night when I jumped into an ice cold shower and yelped) which Nick fixed on Thursday afternoon (he seriously can do it all.) Unfortunately the water heater is in a small little closet in our hallway area, and it collects dust and traveling cat fur. Nick is allergic to cats – so he’s been stuffy since. He’s sleeping in right now and my son is at a friends house for a sleepover (that little social butterfly) so I’m enjoying some quiet me time.

At any rate – here we are to look at the KBShimmer Winter 2018 Collection! I don’t have much info in yet – so we’re flying solo with my descriptions. Let’s see if I can work my magic. When I started blogging, it was very rare to receive descriptions – and I think I got a little spoiled having a reference sheet – but I do still add in my own description if I feel it necessary. This time … it’s all me. Wish me luck.

KBShimmer | Santa Claws

Santa Claws is the yearly charity shade for the KBShimmer Winter Collection! Each year KBShimmer picks a charity close to their heart to donate to, and this year they have chosen the Terre Haute Humane Society! $4 from each bottle of Santa Claws sold will be donated.

Santa Claws is a magnetic polish and when unmagnetized, it’s a bronze to gold to red shade with a touch of purple at extreme angles, and when magnetized the green background comes out with a rusty red magnetic effect. There’s also some holo flecks mixed in for little sparks of color. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for both sets of photos.

I did both magnetized and unmagnetized for these photos.

KBShimmer | Space-ial Edition

Space-ial Edition is another magnetic shade, but it’s much more subtle. I could see the difference, but on camera it’s not as obvious.

This is an eggplant purple base loaded with scattered holographic and blue shimmer. When magnetized, it brights more shimmer out and the path the magnet was on seems to look more galaxy like with a deep purple and holo look. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat, and again I show it with and without the magnet.

KBShimmer | So Cordial

So Cordial is a warm red scattered holographic with red shimmer and added silver holo bits. The added red shimmer give this polish a “glow” but my camera didn’t pick it up. The base is a slightly orange leaning red while the shimmer is a cool red. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | Sweater Weather

Sweater Weather is a vibrant green leaning turquoise base with green shimmer and tiny silver holo bits subtly scattered in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This was a hard shade to capture, and it’s a bit more vibrant in person.

KBShimmer | Taupe Notch

Taupe Notch is a light to medium taupe creme base loaded with coppery shimmer and scattered holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | I Cat Even

I Cat Even is a deep navy blue  linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | I’ll Be Chrome For Christmas

I’ll Be Chrome For Chirstmas is a white crelly base loaded with green to red to gold to bronze ultra chrome chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | On Cloud Wine

On Cloud Wine is a red toned violet jelly base loaded with fuchsia to violet to blue to aqua ultrachrome chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | Flake Expectations

The final 4 shades I’m showing are ultra chrome chameleon flake toppers. You can of course layer them up for full coverage, but I simply did 1 coat over a black creme for these photos.

Flake Expectations is a green to blue to aqua with purple at extreme angles. I used 1 coat over a black creme and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | Fuchsia-nista

Fuchsia-nista is a fuchsia to red to coppery orange shifting ultra chrome chameleon flake topper. I used 1 coat over a black creme and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | Love Thy Selfie

Love Thy Selfie is a deep blue to purple to red to bronze shifting ultrachrome chameleon flake topper.  I used 1 coat over a black creme and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | Yes Weekend!

Yes Weekend! is an aqua to blue to purple to fuchsia to copper shifting ultrachrome chameleon topper. I used 1 coat over a black creme and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer Winter 2018 Collection

Another beautiful collection for Winter with fun names, and of course – the charity shade of 2018. I had no application issues with any of the shades, but Space-ial Edition was a more subtle magnetic for me. 

My personal favorites from this line up are: I’ll Be Chrome For Christmas, Taupe Notch and Santa Claws
