Okay Unicorn Pee lovers, the KBShimmer Unicorn Pee Collection is launching on September 4th!

All purchasing information including stockist info will be at the bottom of this post, so head on down there when done!

For those new to ‘Unicorn Pee’ it’s an incredibly rare pigment that shifts from a coppery red to an orangey gold to a green. The pigment is not easy to acquire, so it is limited. You can still get it if you are lucky, but it’s not as widely available as it was at one time. The pigment dubbed “unicorn pee” is used in currency in Germany and they have the rights to it, which is the main reason you simply cannot buy it on the open market anymore. Most of the pigment still being acquired is from personal stashes people have held onto and it’s INCREDIBLY pricey.

There are SIMILAR pigments out there, but the particles are larger and it is not the exact same. The pigment that KBShimmer got in her hot little hands is the original, which is why this is a limited run.

Just wanted to throw this out there before getting into the review.

The KBShimmer Unicorn Pee Collection is a 4 piece collection that includes the previously released Let’s Slang, 2 more colored bases that are new, as well as a topper.

Let’s take a look!

KBShimmer Let’s Slang

KBShimmer Let’s Slang has come back for this collection. As far as I can see, it is very close, if not exact, to the original. Right now my polish is all over the place and I cannot locate my original bottle to fully confirm though.

Let’s Slang is a deep midnight blue jelly base with unicorn pee shifting shimmer. I used 3 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer Goal Digger

KBShimmer Goal Digger is a deep teal jelly base with unicorn pee shifting shimmer. In person this color is greener. My camera pulled more blue. I used 3 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Also – in person it’s much more opaque.

KBShimmer So Jelly

KBShimmer So Jelly is probably my favorite because I absolutely LOVE this base color. So Jelly is a deep, heavily red leaning violet packed with unicorn pee shifting shimmer.  I used 3 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer You Dew You

KBShimmer You Dew You is the unicorn pee topper in the collection. I went simple and showed it over KBShimmer Eclipse (black creme). This is 2 coats over Eclipse to intensify the amount of unicorn pee.

KBShimmer Unicorn Pee Collection Overview

All 4 new polishes are gorgeous, but personally I’m still in love with Let’s Slang and So Jelly comes in a close second.  I do find that the shimmery shift is less obvious in So Jelly though. You can still kind of see it, but it’s more obvious in Let’s Slang, Goal Digger and of course, You Dew You.

Make sure you check out the lovely swatches from Jenne of Polished Pathology! She showed each polish PLUS You Dew You over each of the other shades!

For the Color4Nails shoppers – my affiliate code will NOT work on this order (or shouldn’t) because it is so limited and the cost isn’t cheap. My code works on MOST things, and all other KBShimmer items – but not on the Unicorn Pee Collection.
