I’m sure you’ve noticed over the past several months I have been trying out different oils for skin and hair. Today I have InstaNatural 100% Emu Oil to share with you, which is good for hair, skin and nails (much like Argan Oil).
Emu Oil is recommended for aging, dry, itchy, red, inflamed, or sunburned skin. It provides ultimate hair-care and reduces marks. It can also be used to soothe and calm minor inflammation on skin.
Emu Oil is a slightly milky, clear liquid that is a bit thicker than other oils I have tried out. It works well to plump skin and give it a healthy glow. It did help to soothe some minor breakouts I had on my face and shoulders recently and took away most of the redness so they didn’t stand out so much.
My favorite use for it though? Using it on my legs after shaving! It soaks in fairly quickly if you use only a thin layer and gave my legs a nice, healthy glow (even if they are so white they are almost blinding…) and it felt really nice and left my legs smoother than most lotions have.
Like any oil though, make sure to only start with a little bit when applying. It is oil, so if you use too much – there really is no reversing it unless you rinse it out completely. So start with a little and if you need more, add more in small increments.
Emu Oil is also a great additive for Do It Yourself skincare. I mixed a few drops of Emu Oil in with a few drops of Rose Water as well as some Argan Oil and Jojoba Oil and got an amazing hand and cuticle treatment.

I love oils and haven’t heard of EMU myself, looks like a good one since it is multi functional as you say.
I would use it in my hair! I’ve been religiously putting hair oils in my hair to keep it soft from my ombre hair dye and sun!
I haven’t tried straight-up Emu oil – mostly because it’s usually fairly expensive – but it’s supposed to be great for skin troubles! Isn’t it fun to mix up your own oil blends? I love making my own cuticle oil.

Don’t think I’d be a fan of Emu oil, but I do have a question? I notice you review tons of skin care on your site. How long does it take you to generally do a review of skin care items?
Generally about 3 weeks, but some items I’ve actually had for a while and hadn’t done the write up for because of time. I’m about caught up on them all for the last several months – so there won’t be many more for at least another few months.
