Press Sample of the Illyrian Polish
Realms 2 Collection
Happy Thursday! I have the entire week off of work for the final week of school and it’s been an eventful one!
On Tuesday Jacob had a consult with an Endodontist for his front tooth. I’ve mentioned it before.. he was playing laser tag 3 years ago and he and another player come around a corner in opposite directions too quick and he took a laser gun to the mouth and broke his upper front right tooth. The Endodontist did some tests and Jacob’s tooth is losing sensitivity and basically the root was dying. He had time after the consult to do the root canal, so we did it. Jacob’s home and well and we got back in a week for the crown fitting.
Yesterday was Jacob’s final day of 7th grade – and he maintained honor roll all 4 quarters, and I’m incredibly proud of him. His final math grade (the subject he struggles most in) was a 98.74%!
So enough about my week, between the dental stuff and school ending, I also had time to get some swatching in. First up today we’ll be looking at the Illyrian Polish Realms 2 Collection!
This collection already released previously and it’s coming back on June 7th through the 11th, so you have another chance to grab them.
The Illyrian Polish Realms 2 Collection is a 6 piece collection with shifty shades within it. I almost bought it when it originally released, but I had some obligations (like a possible root canal for Jacob and his 8th grade trip to D.C. to pay for) so I skipped it and hoped to snag them when they re-released… but here we are.
Let’s jump into the photos. You’ve seen most of these already, but in case you haven’t – here you go.
Illyrian Polish | Vanaheim
Vanaheim is a medium lilac creme based with strong teal green to blue shimmer, as well as a subtle scattered holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Illyrian Polish | The Void
The Void is a deep purple jelly base with a green to teal to indigo multichrome shift. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Illyrian Polish | Niflheim
Niflheim is a blue jelly base with a blue to pink to purple to gold multichrome shift, as well as blue to indigo aurora shimmer and a blurple shimmer. The shimmer ranges from finer particle to a small fleck shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Illyrian Polish | Nidavellir
Nidavellir is an indigo to purple to gold multichrome with pink to purple shifting shimmer and purple shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Illyrian Polish | Muspelheim
Muspelheim is a berry red to coppery red to gold to green multichrome shift with red to gold to green shifting shimmer and red to gold to green iridescent flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Illyrian Polish | Helheim
Helheim is a deep red jelly base with a strong blue to indigo to orange multichrome shift, as well as teal to blue to purple iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Illyrian Polish | Realms 2 Collection
I love multichromes and the shifts in these were pretty strong. My top 3 picks are Muspelheim, The Void and Nidavellir. I had no application issues and primarily stuck to my normal 3 thin coats for all swatches.
