It’s the 14th and time for The Holo Hookup June 2017 Famous & Failed!

For June 2017, The Holo Hookup’s theme is Famous and Failed, so we’ll be looking at famous relationships that failed. Below is the inspiration photo for each polish.

As always, I’ll do a quick rundown for those new to The Holo Hookup!

This is an all holographic box and each month it will have 3 constant indie makers in it – Glisten & Glow, DIFFERENT dimension and Cupcake Polish. Each month there will also be one “guest” contributor, and for June 2017 the guest maker is Anonymous Lacquer!

Let’s see what they have in store for us!

Cupcake Polish – Brad & Angelina

The most recent Failed & Famous title goes to Brad and Angelina. Cupcake Polish created a deep navy blue linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Brad & Angelina were together from 2005 to 2016

Different Dimension – Kristen & Rob

Kristen & Rob were probably my least favorite couple ever.  Only the couple though, not the polish version of them.

Kristen & Rob by Different Dimension is an emerald green linear holographic with gold galaxy microglitters and gunmetal grey microflakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Kristen & Rob were together from 2008 to 2013.

Glisten & Glow – Amber & Kanye

Glisten & Glow took on Amber & Kanye! This is an antique gold linear holographic base loaded with gold shimmer as well as gold, bronze and copper flakes with gold holographic microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Amber & Kanye were together from 2008 to 2010

Anonymous Lacquer – Britney & Justin

Anonymous Lacquer nailed this one! Britney & Justin were pretty much the couple when I was in in high school. Of course, Anonymous Lacquer took on the matching denim outfits!

Britney & Justin is a stone washed denim blue linear holographic. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Britney and Justin were together from 1999 to 2002.

The Holo Hookup June 2017 Famous & Failed Overview

I’ll admit, I’m a fan of gossip type sites and generally follow along with celebrity couple news. One of my guilty pleasures I guess. I’m not on an obsessed level, but I do follow them. I remember each one of these “announcements” for both the beginning and the endings of each of these relationships. The only one that surprised me was when Brangelina failed. The rest I semi expected.

All 4 polishes applied nicely and matched the inspiration photos nicely.
