Time is just going so freaking quickly and makers are just killing it lately! Today we are looking at 40 of the Hella Handmade Creations offerings for September 2024!
It’s a really big month, which I didn’t expect. I have 40 items and if you would like to see all 40 applied or demonstrated – check out my YouTube below!
For the fine details, I do use Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto which are clear nails. I do not use blurring base coats or anything to increase opacity of the nails – and it shows during my YouTube videos especially. With the clear nails, if you can see through the tip still – then odds are you will also see VNL through the polish I have on. If you cannot see through them, then opacity was likely reached
I work during the day in a medical office, and on weekends I enjoy day time shenanigans with my son – so most of my swatching is done at night in studio lighting. I also use a fairly basic, older point and shoot camera (Nikon L830)
I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased.. and that’s an affiliate link). For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Monarch Lacquer top coat over it.
For my lighting setup, since I use artificial lighting due to my day job, involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Alchemy Lacquers | Angel Cake
Theme: Alchemy Lacquers continues their ‘Strawberry Shortcake Dolls’ series with a polish inspired by Angel Cake!
Description: Angel Cake is a crelly based thermal that shifts from a grape purple when cold to a light blue when warm with contrasting cyan to blue to purple shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bubble Bubble Toil and Trouble is a solar polish that shifts grey (indoors) to purple (outdoors) with purple to blue to green glass flakes and purple to blue to green multichrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and a glossy top coat for these photos.

BCB Lacquers | Cuticle Oil “Fierce”
Theme:
Description: “Fierce” Cuticle Oil has scent notes of: Tarragon Leaves, Bergamot, Basil, Green Leaves, Jasmine, Hyacinth, Geranium, Oakmoss and Bamboo. Oil is in a 6mL click pen container with a TWIST off cap.
I pick up the floral notes and basil mostly. This is a great fall scent and it’s fairly unique.

This is an extremely textured polish due to the thinner base and chunky glitters. I applied the glitter smoother rather thickly, so you can do that or possibly 2 thin glitter smoother coats.

Red Eyed Lacquer | Shower Oil “Put…The Candle…Back!”
Theme: Iconic Movie Lines
Description: For the first time, I’m tryin out Red Eyed Lacquer’s Shower Oil! I’m hesitant with oils because I do have an allergy to those small bath oils in the capsules that were popular in the 90s, so I do have to test these on a small patch before use just in case. I was younger then and we don’t know what I’m allergic to in order to isolate it – so I’m cautious. Luckily – I had no reaction to this one, so it’s a green light!
This is a shower oil in a spray, which I love. It’s easy to use and adds another layer of moisturizing – which will help a lot this Winter, I’m sure.
To use: After washing while still in the shower, spray liberally all over your body. Massage oil and rinse with warm water. Your skin will feel silky and soft. Pat dry and add your favorite skin moisturizer.
“Put…The Candle…Back!” is scented in juicy apple, sweet caramel, a hint of cinnamon and brown sugar.
This reminded me of those caramel apple suckers, but with a light cinnamon kick.

Hella Handmade Creations | September 2024
Whew – I think this is the most HHC items I’ve received, largely due to Halloween duos. But there’s 40 of this months offerings!
