We’re getting back to normal in the house, Jacob had his first cold (and fever) since early 2020 so I was taking care of him (I know he’s 15, but he’s still my baby and… man flu is a thing in teens apparently.) I also got my Pfizer Booster shot and I was a bit icky the day after, and then I just felt lethargic for several days after. I don’t know if I just needed to take a couple days or if it was the booster that did it – but I feel much better now. We’re going to be looking at several items in the upcoming Hella Handmade Creations October 2021 shop tonight!
This month brings in more non polish like items as well as a couple “gift set” style items.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, Sweet & Sour Lacquer Gloss Sauce . I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues, Sweet & Sour Lacquer gifted me their Gloss Sauce.
I do use artificial lighting for my photos. I get the most done at night, so I swatch a lot at night. My current setup uses GlamCor Pro LIghts and I use the Ultra X Model and this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Description: Go Ahead and Laugh is a multichrome that shifts green to pink to gold, loaded with black to red multichrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bluebird Lacquer | Fangtastic Voyage
Inspiration: Annual Bat Polish
Description: Fangtastic Voyage is a deep grey crelly base with purple to blue to green ultrachrome chameleon flakes and green to gold to blue shifting iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

By Dany Vianna | Deck The Halls Holiday Set
The first Holiday Set we have to look at is from By Dany Vianna! This set includes a polish and a circular fabric bag in a cheery Deck The Halls type theme!
Deck The Halls (polish) is an emerald green jelly base loaded with holographic micro flakes and green holographic glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Due to the glitter and flake content, this polish leans on the thicker side, so you may need thinner if you prefer thinner consistencies. I didn’t have any application issues, but as I said – this is thicker than Dany’s usual polishes and worth noting for those that prefer thinner consistencies.
Deck The Halls (circular bag) has slots for polish or other small items (chapstick, makeup, etc) and cinches shut with a dual sided drawstring. Super cute and measures 5.5″ across and 7.7 ” in height and when open it’s 12.6″ in diameter.

Heather’s Hues | WiTs Lotion
Inspiration:
Description: WiTs body lotion is a fast absorbing body lotion that doesn’t leave my hands greasy. The texture is light and creamy and a little goes a long way.
This month’s Wits Lotion is a scent called “Nolite te Bastardes Carborundorum.” “Nolite te Bastardes Carborundorum” has top notes of bergamot, citrus, raspberry, and mahogany, subtle middle notes of orchid, clove, and amber on a base of vanilla cream, patchouli, and sandalwood.
This scent is fairly musky and slightly sweet. Very complex and nicely done.

Description: Picking Up The Spare is a royal blue jelly base with blue magnetic pigment, two different types of chameleon flakes, as well as gold and jade holo micro glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
While i did use a magnet on the 2 middle nails… it doesn’t show up well for camera. I know when I first did the camera for it – the disbursing line made it blend in. This magnetic line is much more subtle than expected.

Red Eyed Lacquer | Da Balmer
Inspiration:
Description: Da-Balmer is a cross between a balm and body butter. It’s creamy like a body butter but has a more emollient feel like a balm would. It’s an intensive treatment you can use anywhere (I love it on cuticles of course) but a little goes a long way. If you use too much – it will feel very oily (like a balm would) so start with a little and build up if you need more.
“Simply The Zest” is inspired by a vodka lemonade. Simply the Zest is a custom blend of sparkling limoncello and the scent of the ocean air. Very refreshing and a nice little pick me up type scent
