Happy Saturday! This month has been an absolute whirlwind of polish releases and all the makers have been going hard for our wallets… and this post is about to show 32 of this month’s Hella Handmade Creations offerings for March 2024!
The load this month is higher because i have a few Mother’s Day duos … so I don’t think future months will be this heavy… I was a little surprised with the final tally of PR though… in a good way. To see all 32 items swatched/shown – head to my YouTube:
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased.. and that’s an affiliate link). For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Monarch Lacquer top coat over it.
For my lighting setup, since I use artificial lighting due to my day job, involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).
And lastly – I do use artificial gel nails that I do myself at home. In this post (and video) I am using Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto.

Theme: Mythological Creatures series, BCB Lacquers has created a cuticle oil click pen inspired by the Kitsune
Description: 13 Tail Fox is a 6ml cuticle oil in a click pen. The scent notes are: Artemisia Leaves, Ambrette, White Pepper, White Tea, Musk, Woody Amber.
This is a nice, soothing, woodsy type scent that is like a warm hug. It’s not sweet or super strong. Definitely one I can see a larger range of people enjoying.

Visible brushstrokes are expected with this shade, but it doesn’t detract and they aren’t severe

Theme: ‘Fruits Basket’ theme with “Prince Yuki,” inspired by Yuki Sohma.
Description: Prince Yuki is a sheer dark grey (almost black) jelly base packed with dark grey (almost black) micro holographic glitters and red reflective glitters. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.
This polish looks black on me and I’m not sure if its because of the contrast with my paler skin or if it’s just that dark. Either way – expect it to appear more black than deep grey.

Theme: Star Trek theme with a polish inspired by the 2009 movie “Star Trek” where old Spock travels through time and space to give much needed yet counterintuitive advice of not always turning.
Description: Put Logic Aside is a green to blue to purple shifting shimmer with turquoise magnetic shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I only magnetized the middle and ring nails so you can see the polish both ways.

Luna Wax | Put Logic Aside Wax Melt
Theme: Star Trek theme with a wax inspired by the 2009 “Star Trek” movie where Old Spock travel through time and space and meets his younger self to give much needed yet counterintuitive advice of not always turning to logic for answers.
Description: “Put Logic Aside” is a Star fleet badge shaped wax melt, scented in blueberries, red berries and coconut.
Blueberry is the prominent scent that is sweetened by the berries and coconut – but the berries and coconut scent don’t overpower the blueberries. I really like this one and it’s just different and not too sweet or tart but still very much fruity.

Phoenix Indie Polish | You Made Me A Believer
Theme: inspired by the band ‘Imagine Dragons.’
Description: You Made Me A Believer is a lightly pink tinted jelly base (very light) with red to orange to gold shifting iridescent flakes.
I found the flakes in this to be fairly sparse and larger so I used it to layer over Master Of My Sea. The jelly base is tinted and if you choose to build it up to wear – you likely will still have VNL unless you use a blurring base of some sort.

Red Eyed Lacquer | Da Balm-er in Just Peachy (Paid PR)
Theme:
Description: Da Balm-er is a cross between a balm and body butter. It’s creamy like a body butter but has a more emollient feel like a balm would. It’s an intensive treatment you can use anywhere (I love it on cuticles of course) but a little goes a long way. If you use too much – it will feel very oily (like a balm would) so start with a little and build up if you need more.
This month’s scent is Just Peachy and it’s described as scented in lemon ginger peach pound cake.
My nose picks up a clean, light peach scent. This isn’t that fake weird plasticy peach scent at all. It’s very light and refreshing.

This is a big HHC month for my blog and YouTube mainly because of the Mother’s Day Duos and I don’t expect them to go this high most likely again (unless more duos happen) since I usually hover around 20 or so … but it was fun for it to happen this month.
