Happy Wednesday! We’re a couple days away from the Hella Handmade Creations March 2020 shop from opening up, and I have 4 of this month’s offerings on my blog today!

I’m still using my handy calendar with alerts to try to help me stay on track. Tax season is in full swing, and this month will be a doozy – however, coming home and painting my nails is how I unwind, so I guess it works out for me? We also just completed all of Jacob’s 3rd quarter projects (there were 5 in total, 5th was completed last night!) so for the next few weeks I am home free.

Today we’re looking at 4 of the offerings in the March Hella Handmade Creations shop! These are the offerings from Ethereal Lacquer, Great Lakes Lacquer, Heather’s Hues and LynBDesigns.

Ethereal Lacquer | Uranus

Theme: Planets – This is the final polish in the Planets theme.

Description: Uranus is a pale sky blue crelly base with red to copper to green shifting iridescent flakes and a very light scattering of holographic flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I found the flake content within this shade to make the polish seem a little on the thick side, so I did fairly thin coats to avoid a buildup of flakes in any area of the nail. I can see that someone might need to add a few drops of thinner after a handful of uses though since it might thicken up more as time goes on and the flakie content overrides the base consistency.

Great Lakes Lacquer | The Metalbender

Theme: Avatar: The Last Airbender

Description: Metalbender is a steel grey linear holographic with strong gold to green to aqua shifting shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Heather’s Hues | Who Wants Some Bangers & Mash?

Theme: The Office

Description: Who Wants Some Bangers & Mash? is a deep, but vibrant green jelly base loaded with green to gold shimmer, linear holographic, copper holo microglitters, gold holographic micro shreds and a subtle sprinkling of peridot and turquoise metallic microflakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Despite the glitters and shreds, you should still only need 1 coat of top coat for a smooth finish.

LynBDesigns | Hash Brown No Filter (Thermal)

Theme: The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – This is the final shade in this series.

Description: Hash Brown No Filter is a thermal jelly that goes from a medium dark indigo (cold) to light taupish tan (warm) with micro holo flakes, as well as blue to green to gold shifting iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

On first coat, this was really sheer – so I could potentially see it being used as a thermal topper.

Another nice selection of shades for the month. This post does have 2 shades that complete their series, and that’s the Ethereal Lacquer and LynBDesigns shade.
