It’s been a whirlwind month – and I’m playing catchup as usual. It’s time for Polish & Beauty Expo – and it’s been busy, but I finally have some time to type up the Hella Handmade Creations post for July 2024. The video will be late – but it will be here before shop closes.
This month I have 21 Hella Handmade Creations items to share. The majority is polish this month but i do have 2 cuticle oils to share as well.
For the fine details, I do use Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto which are clear nails. I do not use blurring base coats or anything to increase opacity of the nails – and it shows during my YouTube videos especially. With the clear nails, if you can see through the tip still – then odds are you will also see VNL through the polish I have on. If you cannot see through them, then opacity was likely reached
I work during the day in a medical office, and on weekends I enjoy day time shenanigans with my son – so most of my swatching is done at night in studio lighting. I also use a fairly basic, older point and shoot camera (Nikon L830)
I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased.. and that’s an affiliate link). For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Monarch Lacquer top coat over it.
For my lighting setup, since I use artificial lighting due to my day job, involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Alchemy Lacquers | Seaberry Delight (Solar)
Theme: Strawberry Shortcake dolls
Description: Seaberry Delight is a solar polish that shifts from an aqua sea green indoors/in shade and then a deep blurple in UV/DIrect sunlight, plus it has pink to green micro flecks shimmer and blue to green micro fleck shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Please keep in mind some top coats contain ingredients that block UV rays. These top coats that contain the ingredients etocrylene AND benzophenone, which are UV absorbers, can diminish the effectiveness of the transition capabilities of solar nail lacquer

Description: Calico is a semi sheer orchid purple jelly base with a purple to red shift, as well as holo microflakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This is sheerer than my photos look – the lighting hitting the shimmer shift is making it look more opaque.
