Happy Saturday! With work and still getting over the flu and cough – I finally had time to sit down to fully type up this massive Hella Handmade Creations post for February 2025! The video was done prior to shop opening, so you may have seen that already.
For the February 2025 Hella Handmade Creations shop, i have 41 items to share. This month had a flurry of normal releases, as well as 10 Year Anniversary shades! For the first 3 years, HHC was Hella Holo Customs (You can actually search my blog for those!) and they were a holo finish group that hosted guest makers each month. And like the finish groups that do that now – you could buy those customs from the makers directly. If I remember correctly – KBShimmer was the final maker in April of 2018 before they transitioned to the collab style shop we all know today, and they changed the name to Hella Handmade Creations, which has now been here for 7 years.
10 years in the community is definitely a wonderful accomplishment – so happy anniversary HHC!

For the fine details, I do use Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto which are clear nails. I do not use blurring base coats or anything to increase opacity of the nails – and it shows during my YouTube videos especially. With the clear nails, if you can see through the tip still – then odds are you will also see VNL through the polish I have on. If you cannot see through them, then opacity was likely reached
I work during the day in a medical office, and on weekends I enjoy day time shenanigans with my son – so most of my swatching is done at night in studio lighting. I also use a fairly basic, older point and shoot camera (Nikon L830)
I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased.. and that’s an affiliate link). For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Monarch Lacquer top coat over it.
For my lighting setup, since I use artificial lighting due to my day job, involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Theme: Alchemy Lacquers continues their ‘Strawberry Shortcake’ series with a a polish inspired by Almond Tea!
Description: Almond Tea is a medium lavender crelly base with red to orange to gold shifting iridescent flakes and holographic flakes.
I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
My photos show the base as being a look bluer than it is – it’s more true lavender and a bit lighter in person.
Also ignore the labels in the photo – this one was name changed after I received it.

BCB Lacquers | Cuticle Oil It’s All About The Lumps
Theme: BCB Lacquers continues their ‘Adventure Time’ series with a cuticle oil inspired by Lumpy Space Princess!
Description: Cuticle Oil has scent notes of: Sweet Mandarin, Bergamot, Grapefruit, White Magnolia, Coconut Water, Lily of the Valley, Tonka Bean, Amber and Sandalwood. Oil is in a 6mL click pen container with a TWIST off cap.
To my nose this is a very sweet floral, but not sugary sweet – more naturally sweet like fresh blooms of white florals and then the softness of coconut water. If you like bright white floral scents – this will be perfect for you

I personally was unable to grab any leopard print glitters without help. I had the bottle upside down for several hours and it didn’t seem to help.
Others were able to though – so my bottle just may have been stubborn.

Dark Moon Esscentuals | Mmm…Smooooth Shave Cream
Theme:
Description: “Mmm…Smooooth” by Dark Moon Esscentuals is the never before released, decadent close shave cream that you’ve been looking for. Think silky smooth legs and other bits! In my use and when I had others test this shave cream, I didn’t find that it goops up the razor like some products can, and rinses cleanly off. The shave cream contains skin loving ingredients like Aloe Vera and Glycerin your skin will feel….well, see for yourself!
Scented in Tropical Forests, with scent notes like Cara Cara Orange, Golden Pineapple, Coconut, Jewel Strawberry, Raspberry, Melon, Rose, Jasmine, Lush Greens, Exotic Musk and Blonde Woods, this scent puts you smack dab on a Tropical Island.
I do use a specialty Leaf razor, and this did not “gunk up” or clog the blades. It’s a thinner consistency that most shave creams – almost lotion like – and it goes on smooth and shaves smoothly as well. I have used this on my arms and legs, but the maker does warn that it has not been tested on faces.
The scent is super light and tropical – I did smell more citrus and earthy like notes. It was pleasant and not overpowering.
