Happy Sunday! It’s been another busy week, and I had some time to get everything together so I can finally type up my Hella Handmade Creations February 2024 post!
I have 18 of this months offerings to share (I already have 23 for next month, and I know I’m expecting more) and you can check all 18 out on my YouTube channel below!
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Monarch Lacquer Hi-Def Shine Top coat (sent as PR and I’ve also purchased.. and that’s an affiliate link). For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Monarch Lacquer top coat over it.
For my lighting setup, since I use artificial lighting due to my day job, involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).
And lastly – I do use artificial gel nails that I do myself at home. In this post (and video) I am using Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto.

Alchemy Lacquers | Land of Lava
Theme: Star Wars Travel Posters
Description: Land of Lava is a medium grey crelly base with black flakes, as well as red to orange to gold to green shifting shimmer and iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. You could also probably do 2 normal coats and reach full opacity.

All Mixed Up Lacquer | Damn Vampire
Theme: My Maker Playlist with a polish inspired by Olivia Rodrigo’s song, “Vampire.”
Description: Damn Vampire is a grey crelly base loaded with intense purple shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Atomic Polish | Sagrada (PAID PR)
Theme: Board Games
Description: Sagrada is a blurple jelly base packed with purple to blue shifting pigment and red micro glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The red glitters twinkle like reflective glitters… so I’m not sure if they are or not to be completely honest. Due to how the reacted for me with flash, I’m going to say I think they are reflective.

BCB Lacquers | Cuticle Oil Click Pen in Calypso
Theme:
Description: BCB Lacquers brings us a cuticle oil pen with a click style dispenser and brush applicator. The scent notes are: Champagne, Fruits, Iris, Lime, Black Currant, Patchouli, Jasmine, Lemon.
My nose immediately picks up the lemon, lime, patchouli and a bit of floral. It’s very earthy, clean and citrusy. I would say this is a more gender neutral like scent.
Ingredients: Jojoba oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil, avocado oil, almond oil, tea tree oil and skin-safe fragrance.

BCB Lacquers | Wild, Beautiful & Dangerous
Theme: mermaids and sirens
Description: Wild, Beautiful & Dangerous is a soft lavender crelly base with blue to purple shifting flakes, yellow hex glitters, holo micro flecks and glows teal in the dark. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Then Do Not Spend Your Life Exhausted (PAID PR)
Theme: inspired by the book ‘Belladonna’
Description: Then Do Not Spend Your Life Exhausted is a sheer silvery jelly base loaded with red to green to gold shifting shimmer, matte black flakes and holo flakes, plus it glows green in the dark. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cuticula | It Means No Worries
Theme: Dreamlight Valley series
Description: It Means No Worries is a rosey red jelly base packed with red to purple glass flakes, as well as small matte black flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Despite the flake content – I didn’t find that this one needed a glitter smoother. All the flakes were thinner and lay relatively flat with 3 thin coats.

Dam Nail Polish | Badtz To The Bone
Theme: Hello Kitty and Friends
Description: Badtz To The Bone is a black jelly base with purple and white glitters, as well as purple reflective glitters. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoothing topper and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I did find this polish to be on the thick side, so I did thinner coats to spread more evenly. If you don’t like thicker polishes – you can add some thinner to bring it to a consistency you prefer.

Description: Tactical Assault Possum is a grey jelly base loaded with silver magnetic pigment, as well as intense pink to purple shifting shimmer and holo flake. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I only magnetized the middle nails so you can see it worn both ways.

M&N Polish | Tropical Freeze
Theme: Games
Description: Tropical Freeze is a clear base loaded with silver to turquoise shifting iridescent flakes, as well as copper to green multichrome flakes. I used 2 coats alone and a glossy top coat for these photos. The final photo shows 1 coat over a black creme.
This polish does have a base color you can also purchase (you can buy it alone or as the duo) but the base broke in transit to me, so I only have the topper to share.

Description: Lucy Meets Orson Welles is a purple jelly scattered holographic base with red to pink to copper to green aurora shimmer, as well as matching aurora flakes, and yellow to gold to orange magnetic pigment. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I only magnetized the middle and index nails for these photos so you can see it both ways.

Hella Handmade Creations | February 2024
It’s safe to say there’s a definitely color theme in the collage above. It’s pretty much purples to blues to greens… with a red and pink thrown in there for fun. Being that I am neutral leaving cool toned… they all look good with my skintone and are fully wearable for me.
