I still can’t believe the year is almost up – but here we are, the Hella Handmade Creations December 2021 post which is the final post for HHC in 2021 on my blog.
I have 15 items to share this month and it’s probably the best assortment I’ve received color wise. Usually one color is heavier than others (usually blue or purple) but this month shows a little more range.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, Sweet & Sour Lacquer Gloss Sauce . I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues, Sweet & Sour Lacquer gifted me their Gloss Sauce.
I do use artificial lighting for my photos. I get the most done at night, so I swatch a lot at night. My current setup uses GlamCor Pro LIghts and I use the Ultra X Model and this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Baroness X | Beloved Acetone Antidote
Theme: Words Starting with the Prefix Be-
Description: Acetone Antidote is an additive for your acetone to protect your skin from the harshness of acetone. It contains glycerin and jojoba oil to help protect and moisturize your nails, skin, and cuticles during polish removal. Plus, no more ashy, dry skin! Simply shake up the vial and pour into your polish remover. I generally pour a full vial into a 10 oz pump bottle, but I recommend shaking it and pouring half in and adding more if you feel you need more.
Beloved is a limited house scent of fresh rosé wine sweetened with elderflower sugar, muddled with strawberries and topped with cotton candy.
My nose primarily picks up the cotton candy and strawberries, but I can also detect a sweet floral. It almost ends up smelling like a strawberry rose laffy taffy type candy scent.

Description: Beloved is a pale peachy pink crelly base with magenta to gold shifting shimmer, gold metallic flakes, and rose gold metallic flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Rabbit Rabbit
Theme: American Horror Story
Description: Rabbit Rabbit is a sheer white base loaded with soft blue to pink to purple shimmer, as well as blue to red to purple multichrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The light bouncing off the shimmer gives this polish more opacity than it was in person. In person, if you have a visible nail line, it will most likely show through.

Luna Wax | You Can’t Catch Me, I’m The Ginger Bread Man
Theme: Folktales
Description: Luna Wax is here with her scoopable wax, but in a different container!
You Can’t Catch Me, I’m The Ginger Bread Man is a scoopable bead like wax with larger themed shapes mixed in. This particular mix has Gingerbread Man, Fox and Candy Cane shapes mixed in. The scent is described as gingerbread cookies, snickerdoodle cookies, ginger spice and candied ginger.
My nose picks up the gingerbread cookie the most. The other scents kinda of meld into it – but primarily – you have to like gingerbread for this one. I also don’t know why but I smell egg nog like notes… probably the snickerdoodle a bit but it smells like what I think dipping a fresh baked gingerbread into egg nog would smell like.

Red Eyed Lacquer | Water You Fizzy For? Da Balmer
Theme:
Description: Da-Balmer is a cross between a balm and body butter. It’s creamy like a body butter but has a more emollient feel like a balm would. It’s an intensive treatment you can use anywhere (I love it on cuticles of course) but a little goes a long way. If you use too much – it will feel very oily (like a balm would) so start with a little and build up if you need more.
Water You Fizzy For? is described as a house blend of pink watermelon and lemon lime fizzy soda pop.
This smells like a lighter version of watermelon Hubba Bubba gum… but with a fizzy twist.

Red Eyed Lacquer | Glow Bob, Glow! (Glow In The Dark)

Description: Glow Bob, Glow! is a shimmery indigo crelly base with copper metallic flakes that glows blue in the dark. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I did use a UV flashlight to “charge” my nails for the glow photo.

Hella Handmade Creations | December 2021
This is another lineup where I’d literally wear all of these (and use all the products) so I’m quite please. We are seeing a couple new faces here – Baroness X and Pahlish as well as some old favorites.
