I think this might be the first time ever that I had my Hella Handmade Creations post done before the shop opened for sales. I’m really ahead right now. So much so – that I’m not entirely sure what to do with myself. My desk was cleared of polish and I’m working away at cropping photos. Last night, I was swatching polishes that arrived in the mail that day. I mean, not saying this will last awhile, but we’ll see.
Today I am kicking things off with 6 polishes from the Hella Handmade Creations December 2019 shop!
For this month, I have creations from 77 Nail Lacquer, Colors by Llarowe, Ethereal Lacquer, Great Lakes Lacquer, LynBDesigns and Necessary Evil Polish to share. I’m still kind of waking up and I haven’t had coffee just yet – so .. let’s get started.
77 Nail Lacquer | A Is For Anarchy
Theme: Punk Rock
A Is For Anarchy (the name reminds me of Sue Grafton book names) is the last in her series which is inspired by Punk Rock. A is for Anarchy is a black crelly based linear holographic that has a bronzey gold flame, with silver holographic micro bars. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I did thin coats to help control the bar glitters. Overall they weren’t an issue, but when I used thicker coats, some would cling to each other and sometimes pile up a little causing them to stick up. Thin coats seemed to help with that so the didn’t pile up and go nuts.

Colors by Llarowe | Hammer To Fall
Theme: Freddie Mercury
Hammer To Fall is a taupe based multichrome that shifts warm violet to magenta to green to gold, with a fairly subtle scattered holo effect. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Venus
Theme: Planets
Venus is a soft, dusty periwinkle creme base with strong peachy pink shimmer and soft scattered holo. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Great Lakes Lacquer | The Exiled Prince
Theme: Avatar: The Last Airbender
The Exiled Prince is a deep cool leaning red jelly base with orange to gold to green shifting iridescent flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

LynBDesigns | Beef Jerky In A Ball Gown
Theme: The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Beef Jerky In A Ball Gown is a super pale off white crelly base loaded with purple shimmer, holo flecks and blue to purple to pink to gold shifting ultrachrome chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Necessary Evil Polish | Bloomin’
Theme: Under the Microscope
Bloomin in a vibrant raspberry pink with kind of subtle blue shimmer and scattered holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Hella Handmade Creations | December 2019
Two of the brands I showed in this post are on their final polishes of their series, so I really look forward to what they’ll be doing for the next series. All 6 shades were beautifully done and I feel like most of the brands played to their strengths. Even if I was just shown the collage and didn’t know which polish was which brand – I could do pretty well guessing based on each brands “signature” style.
