Work is finally over and my weekend has officially begun! I have more posts to share now that I can type them out… it’s been busy around here. Tonight we will be looking at the Great Lakes Lacquer May 2021 Releases!

So for this set of shades that will be releasing tomorrow at 9PM EST, we have an addition to the popular GLL 2020 Trio and this now makes it a quad. You can buy this polish individually, the previous trio OR all 4 together. We’ll also have an addition to Labradorescence which is a popular shade – but this is called Labradorite This – same finish, different color. And lastly – we have The ‘Pastels?’ Collection which is loosely inspired by Addams Family Values and Debbie Jellinsky, the villain who fit right in, even if she was trying to kill them.

Again – all of these release tomorrow, May 15th at 9PM EST.

Great Lakes Lacquer | SSDD

SSDD is the follow up shade from the previously released trio. SSDD is a blackened violet with red to orange to gold shift. It’s deep and vampy but the shift gives it a more vibrant appearance when the light hits just right. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Great Lakes Lacquer | Labradorite This

Labradorite This is a deep violet jelly base with red to copper to gold to aqua shifting flakes. This is the deep violet version of Labradorescence. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Great Lakes Lacquer | Give Me A Twenty

Give Me A Twenty is a medium, dirty mauvy beige with an ever so slight peach leaning crelly base loaded with blue to purple to orange shifting shimmer and a subtle scattered holo effect. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I Was A Ballerina is a lavender tinged ballerina pink crelly base with magenta to orange to yellow shifting shimmer and a subtle scattered holo finish.I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Love… And Jewelry is a vibrant lemon yellow crelly base with magenta to orange to gold shifting shimmer with a subtle scattered holo finish. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Great Lakes Lacquer | Malibu Barbie

Malibu Barbie is a baby blueish aqua crelly base with green to pink to purple shifting shimmer and a subtle scattered holographic mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I’m kinda loving the new collection and how glowy it is. Initially I thought my favorite would be “I Was A Ballerina” but Give Me A Twenty actually takes that spot and I didn’t realize it until I put it on. So that’s now my #1 pick for this release.
