Oy With The Poodles Already
Do we have any Gilmore Girls fans? Grace-full Nail Polish has a 7 piece Gilmore Girls inspired collection launching tomorrow named ‘Oy With The Poodles Already’
I have a confession – I’ve never seen Gilmore Girls. It’s in our queue to watch, but hasn’t happened yet. I know the cast and have basic knowledge of the show, but no real experience with it. As soon as we are done with our current show (rewatching Prison Break to get ready for the next season they have coming!!) we might push Gilmore Girls to the front of the line.
Under each polish description I will add a snippet provided by Grace-full Nail Polish about the inspiration behind each shade!
Now, let’s take a look a this collection. You don’t have to know the show to appreciate these beauties!
Where You Lead
Where You Lead is a gorgeous multichrome that shifts from purple to pink to red to orange. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Where you Lead is based on Loralei and it reflects her strength and the many sides there there is to this determined single mom.
Luke’s Shirts
Luke’s Shirts is a navy jelly with microglitters in red, burgundy, emerald, blueberry and navy. Grace-full Nail Polish describes it as a strong colour base with the manly colour glitters that you find in the shirts Luke is always wearing, epitomizes the character Luke.
I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I’m Smad
I’m Smad is inspired by Sookie and this is a bright purple shimmer with multicolor ultrachrome flakes within. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This polish is fun and bright with complexity in the flakies and shimmer which sums up Sookie to Grace-full Nail Polish. The base colour makes Sookie’s Chef jacket when she says “I’m so sad. and I’m mad. I’m smad.” Coining a new phrase to explain what happens when you’re sad and mad all at the same time. It happens to the best of us.
I Will Follow
I Will Follow is a royal blue linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Representing both Yale and Chilton Prep School, Grace-full Nail Polish also had to acknowledge one of her favourite scenes from the TV series when Rory joins in the Life and Death Brigade, a secret society at Yale.

Copper Boom
Copper Boom is a copper holographic base and is packed with copper ultra holographic glitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The name comes from the episode ‘The Lorelais’ First Day at Yale‘, where we are introduced to a new pop culture phrase: “Copper Boom.” At the start of the episode, Rory is packing her makeup, asking herself “When did I become one of those girls with dozens of beauty products, none of which are expendable? It used to be a touch of mascara, dab of Coppertone, zip, bam, boom, out the door.” However, Lorelai heard “copper and boom,” which they then turn into their own catch phrase.
Stars Holo
Stars Holo is a deep mint holographic with silver and turquoise glitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Stars Hollow is where the Gilmore Girls is based and always screams green to Grace-full Nail Polish, so the choice for this polish was easy. The inclusion of holo glitters represent the colourful people who live in the town.
Michel’s Underwear
Michel’s Underwear is a deep blue jelly with ultra chameleon flakes in blue, green, gold and pink. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Michel is one of Grace-full Nail Polish’s favourite characters and this polish had to have the refined side of him as well as the colourful bright side that makes him a great character. Michel’s Underwear as a name comes from a Loralei quote where she says “Michel split his pants and his underwear’s pink and shiny. So this polish had to have flakies that showed that flash of pink.
Grace-full Nail Polish Oy With The Poodles Already
This is a fun and fabulous collection. I had no application issues, and my top picks are Where You Lead, I Will Follow, Michel’s Underwear and Stars Holo!
