Gold Elements D’or Facial Peeling & Intensive Cleansing and Softening Toner Review

I have a few facial care items from Gold Elements to show you today!  I have been using all of these items in conjunction with each other and my skin has been happy as can be!

My Skin Type:  I have slightly oily skin with dry flakey patches.  I still have some acne, but it’s not too bad by any means – usually I have break outs around the time I should have a monthly cycle (I have PCOS so I don’t always have a cycle).  I have pores that are on the larger side as well.

I like to let people know my skin type so you know what I’m working with.  Not all skin care items work the same for everyone and I try to be as honest as possible and sometimes my skin type will help those with similar skin types decide if the products I’m posting about are right for them!

D’or Facial Peeling

I started my routine off with D’or Facial Peeling.  This is fairly gentle peel to use and although I felt my face warming up when I applied it, it didn’t feel like it was burning as I have experienced with other face peels.  I left it on for a few minutes and when I was removing it, I could feel how soft my skin was afterwards.  It was awesome.  I have been using this twice a week for a few weeks and there is definitely a nice glow to my skin.  This has  a weird perfume smell though that is on the strong side.  I am not sensitive to smells, but if you are – be VERY careful.

Intensive Cleansing & Softening Toner

A silky, cleansing, softening and moisturizing formula to gently

Now this is just a HG item for me now!  Gold Elements Intensive Cleansing and Softening Toner was used after the peel.  I applied a little to a cotton ball and wiped it all over my face like a typical toner.  It wasn’t drying at all and left no residue behind.  I could see it picked up more gunk that may have been clogging my pores as well.  I used this toner daily (I only used the peel 2 times a week) and I need to keep this toner around.  I didn’t experience any excess drying on my skin and my skin remained super soft.  My only gripe, the perfume smell.  It’s strong and I can see others getting migraines from it.

Age Treatment Eye Serum

Specially formulated for the sensitive eye area; using a combination of age defying elements and trace minerals, this unprecedented formula offers immediate and long-lasting results.

Last but not least is the Age Treatment Eye Serum.  After I used the toner I used just a little of this around the eye area.  I didn’t notice a huge difference but my eye puffiness went down a little and the eye area felt a lot smoother to the touch.  It went on silky smooth and I didn’t have any reaction to it.  This also had a perfume smell to it, and I wouldn’t suggest it if you are sensitive to strong scents.

Overview

While I really liked the products, the cost is higher than some I’ve come across.  While I will splurge when things are worth it, I don’t find that these are so amazing that I could justify the price.  Don’t get me wrong, the products are really good and I got good results – but I’ve used other products with the same results and the price tag didn’t hit me as hard.  The Intensive Cleansing and Softening Toner was the main item I adored that I can justify for the price tag, but the other 2 items were a little more than I could swallow.  The perfume smell was the other thing I could deal with, but it wasn’t a welcomed addition.  I like my skin care to smell clean, not like I just spritzed on a bunch of my grandmothers perfume.

The packaging was really nice for all of these products.  For presentation, Gold Elements definitely gets an A+!
