On May 1st Glitter Gal Australia is set to release their Blooming Babes Collection which consists of 4 cremes, 1 holographic and a glossy top coat.
I have the 4 cremes to share with you today and a little nail art I was toying around with. I have a bunch of studs and random nail items that I haven’t used… so I figured it would be a good time to try em out!
Nuddy Nude
Nuddy Nude is a pale beige creme. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.
And then I decided to do a simple water marble on the accent nail using Nuddy Nude, Mozzie Bite and Bikini Babe
Bikini Babe
Bikini Babe is a soft pastel pink creme. I used 3 thin coats for these photos. The first coat was a little streaky, the second had minimal streaks, but the 3rd coat was the ticket to a smooth, even polish.
I bought some cute polka dot plastic bows for my nails about a year ago. I don’t know why. Will I do this look again? Doubt it. I picked the bow off about 3 minutes after the photo was taken.
Good On Ya
Good On Ya is a pastel green that is also vibrant. I LOVED this shade! I used 3 thin coats for these photos. Like Bikini Babe, the first 2 coats showed some streaks, so I needed a third to even it all out.
For a little nail art, I decided to use some nail gems I have had for awhile. I was only going to do a clear gem at the base of my nail, but decided to add on a light green and a deeper green gem as well.
Mozzie Bite
Mozzie Bite is a red creme (borderline crelly) which leans pink. I used 3 thin coats for these photos to build up opacity, but 2 would have worked fine.
No nail art for Mozzie Bite because I was ready for bed at this point!
Overview
All of these shades are great for Spring! Nuddy Nude, Bikini Babe and Good On Ya are typical pastel formulas and are a touch streaky on the first 2 coats, but they looked perfect on the third. Mozzie Bite had the best formula of the 4. There are 2 more polishes in the Blooming Babes collection that I did not have to show you, and those were a red holographic polish as well as a top coat that is safe to use with holographics (some top coats kill the holo look).
