Today I have the Glisten & Glow Oh, The Places You’ll Go Collection to share with you!

This collection is making me feel so nostalgic. When my son was little, this was one of the very first books I bought. I read to him every single night until he was in Kindergarten, and then he would read to me. But Dr. Seuss Oh! The Places You’ll Go! was his favorite and even when he should have been reading more advanced books, he always came back to this one.

My little boy just turned 11 last Friday. He’s now taller than me and getting that independence that children generally get one day. He’s still a complete mama’s boy (always will be) but this reminded me of all those nights that I’d crawl into his toddler bed with him and we’d read. About a year ago, we went through his book pile to donate ones he outgrew, and he was okay letting most go, but not this one or Green Eggs and Ham.

Ok I’m getting all misty with memories, so let’s get more into what you are really here for. The Glisten & Glow Oh The Places You’ll Go Collection is a 4 piece creme collection, and I’ll also be showing 2 shimmery toppers and a matte top coat!

Because I’m also showing you the matte top coat Glisten & Glow is releasing, as well as 2 shimmers – each photo set will have the creme polish with a glossy top coat, then shown with matte top coat, and then shown the shimmers. It’s a little different to what I normally do.

I’m also going to start with the shimmers being released, sorry I seem all over the place… but we’ll start with the shimmers since i show them throughout the post as well.

Fun To Be Done

Fun To Be Done is a pink to purple to red iridescent shimmer topper. I used 1 coat over Little Black Dress for these photos.

Bang Ups and Hang Ups

Bang Ups and Hang Ups is a blue to green iridescent shimmery topper. I used 1 coat over Little Black Dress for these photos.

Great Balancing Act

Great Balancing Act is a mimosa orange creme. This is fairly bright, but not neon. Nicely pigmented and super smooth. Shown is 2 coats and a top coat.

Ok so this is a little different. I have this as Great Balancing Act 4 ways. From top (index) to bottom (pinky) we have Great Balancing Act Matte, then with Bang Ups and Hang Ups, then Fun To Be Done and then plain glossy.

98 And 3/4 Percent Guaranteed

98 and 3/4 Percent Guaranteed is a periwinkle creme. This is a perfect periwinkle. I used 2 easy coats and a top coat for these photos.

Your Mountain Is Waiting is a bubblegum pink creme. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Today Is Your Day

Today is Your Day is the most perfectly pigmented sunshine yellow creme. It went on easy and flawless in just 2 coats.

BUT… I did experience staining from it, so double up on your base coat. I did let Jill know and she has added warnings (thank you Jill!) and not everyone had staining (I think I was the only one) but I wanted to put it out there it was possible. Next time I wear this one, I’ll be doubling up on the base coat!

Nostalgia aside, if you love cremes, these are really nicely done and for lighter, brighter shades, I was pleasantly surprised they weren’t chalky or patchy to apply. I did experience staining with Today Is Your Day, so double up on base coat for that one.
