Sweet Nothings Collection
The Girly Bits Spring 2016 Sweet Nothings Collection is getting set to launch on May 14th, and you don’t want to miss out!
This is a 7 piece collection mainly filled with shimmers, but Girly Bits also threw in a neon crelly as well as a sparkling, shimmery glitter shade. This 7 piece collection was inspired by the sweet French Macarons and their delicate texture. I love macarons so now I’m kind of craving some.
I did encounter a couple minor issues while swatching these shades, which I let Pam know about – and she is fixing them. Nothing too huge, a couple shades were a little on the thick side – and when I let her know she checked her bottles and was able to confirm she saw what I was seeing. So those will be just as perfect as the rest when you receive yours.
So let’s get on with what you all are really here for! Here is the Girly Bits Spring 2016 Sweet Nothings Collection!
Mon Cheri
Mon Cheri is a mid tone blush pink crelly that has strong peach tones, with peach and gold shimmer as well as platinum silver shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I found this shade to be one that was leaning on the thick side. It will be thinned a bit before launch, so you shouldn’t have this issue.
Mon Chou Chou
Mon Chou Chou is a mid tone lilac crelly with pink and blue shimmer, as well as platinum silver shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Mon Petit Canard
Mon Petit Canard is one of the rare yellows I seem to be able to wear that doesn’t give me lobster hands. Mon Petit Canard is a pastel yellow crelly with copper and platinum silver shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This was another shade I found to be leaning on the thick side. As I said earlier in the post, this will be thinner and easier to work with for buyers.
Bleu de tes Yeux
Bleu de tes Yeux is my favorite from the collection. I originally thought it would be Mon Chou Chou, but this one is a must have. Bleu de tes Yeux is a sky blue crelly with blue and platinum silver shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
J’ai Besoin des Toi
J’ai Besoin des Toi (won’t even lie, I copy/pasted the name out of fear of misspelling it) is a light, slightly dusty sage green crelly with platinum silver shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Bonbon D’Amour
Bonbon D’Amour is a white crelly base with a mix of neon circle glitters, smaller pastel glitters and purple metallic micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.
This is the third shade I found to be thick. I added thinner in my bottle for these photos because when I received it, the base was swallowing the glitter. With a little thinner, it helped – but Pam will be making this base much more fluid for her customers. More than likely the glitters will be more vibrant once the final batch is completed.
Tarte au Sucré
Tarte au Sucré is a lilac microglitter with silver holo, red shimmer and multi colored iridescent glitter mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and Girly Bits Glitter Glaze to top it off for these photos.
If you love microglitters and shades similar like me, Girly Bits Glitter Glaze is a must have. I go through TONS of it. Tons. It’s amazing.

Girly Bits Spring 2016 Sweet Nothings Collection Overview
So there we have it, the full Girly Bits Spring 2016 Sweet Nothings collection! As I stated a couple times, 3 shades had a thick consistency for me while swatching – but they are being fixed, so it shouldn’t be an issue for customers. Aside from that though, I had no other issues to report on any of these shades. My favorite for sure was Bleu de tes Yeux, but close runner ups were Tarte au Sucré, Mon Chou Chou and Mon Cheri. All are very nice and very wearable shades for me though.
Price: $16.50 CAD (approx. $13 USD) | $108.00 CAD Full Collection (for a limited time)
Also, don’t forget full collection purchases receive a free Macaron lip butter melt made exclusively for Girly Bits by Cynthia of Alter Ego!

These are lovely – I’m really liking the softer shades. And how cute are those lip butters?
That blue immediately jumped out at me, it looks fantastic on you!
Must not buy more purple polish… but I probably will and maybe that yellow too

Ohh, this is such a pretty collection! Bleu de tes Yeux is beautiful!
You are right, Blue de tes Yeux is super pretty! I love all these shades though, most of them are slightly different than normal and would make some great nail art!
