For the Girly Bits May 2017 Color Of The Month Duo we have a “Mom” theme because of Mother’s Day being in May.

Not sure why, but this little story popped into my head about my son. When he was little (about 2 or 3) he was in the “no” phase. It didn’t bother me because he never went through the terrible 2’s or 3’s – so if him saying “no” was the worst thing, I could deal with it. Anyways, since he said “no” all the time, I got use to saying “Don’t you say no to me” while pointing at him so he knew I was talking to him. He’d always give a little giggle.

Then one day he asked for candy right after breakfast and I said “No” and he pointed his chubby little finger at me and said “Don’t you say no to me!” and I couldn’t stop laughing because he looked SO SERIOUS. Then we both went into a fit of giggles.

Just wanted to share that. My baby is 11 now, so when I tell him these stories he finds them hilarious.

Because I Said So

The name of this polish I think is what reminded me of the “no” story above. I have used the “Because I said so!” phrase a lot, but that didn’t start until Jacob turned 10. Then everything is SUCH a chore and God forbid he has to *gasp* do work.

Because I Said So is a medium blush creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. There are some gorgeous peachy tones in this creme and I just bought a purse that matches it.

I’m on a Spring blush kick right now.

Shake What Ya Mama Gave Ya

Shake What Ya Mama Gave Ya is a sparkling purple scattered holographic filled with holographic flakes, pink shimmer flecks, pink flakes and purple flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Depending on your top coat, you might need 2 coats for a completely smooth finish. There is a slight texture to it because of the flakes. I used Girly Bits Glitter Glaze and only needed 1 coat.

As usual, the fan voted names are perfect for the May duo!  We all know I’m a purple lover, so Shake What Ya Mama Gave Ya was a guaranteed love, but being on a blush kick made Because I Said So a shoo in as well, plus Pam’s cremes are incredible and dry with a gorgeous glossy finish.

No application issues to mention, but as I said, you might need 2 coats of top coat for Shake What Ya Mama Gave Ya.

Because the May Duo was launched late, it will be available until the end of June!
