So this time of year is absolutely crazy for me. It’s tax season, it was recently the end of my son’s third quarter at school (Honor Roll again!) plus a lot of brands are releasing their Spring goodies and any new lines they want to launch for the year. Because of everything going on, I had to turn down a lot of offers (serious sad face) and let them know why.
One brand that asked right before I did the cut off was Geekish Glitter Lacquer. This is a new-to-me indie, and I believe a newer brand in general. She sent over her Who Dunnit? Collection which was kind of exciting because I used to LOVE the CLUE board game and I pretty much wore out the VHS tape we had it recorded on.
This is an 8 piece collection primarily containing glitters in either a crelly or almost jelly like base and there is one straight glitter topper. Each has the iconic names of the different CLUE characters as well.
So let’s jump in and take a look at the Geekish Glitter Lacquer Who Dunnit? Collection!
Wadsworth The Butler
Wadsworth The Butler is the glitter topper in the collection. This is a clear base with a mix of various sized black holographic glitters ranging from micro to medium sized hex glitters. I used 1 coat over Zoya Vickie.
The base was perfect for a glitter topper, it wasn’t too thick or too thin and I didn’t have to use the dabbing method to get a decent amount of glitters out.
I really liked Tim Curry in this movie and the below gif kind of describes how all my projects have been going this year so far…
Mr. Boddy
Mr. Boddy (in the UK I believe he was Dr. Black!) is a black jelly base packed with scattered holographic and silver holographic micro flakes. The flakes are interesting, they are more like crescent shapes or boomerang shapes. They seriously sparkle though! I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Professor Plum
Professor Plum is a deep purple jelly with scattered holographic and silver holo micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Mrs. Peacock
Mrs. Peacock is a teal crelly with gold shimmer, scattered holographic and silver holographic micro flakes. This has almost a slightly metallic look with all the shimmer packed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade is also a touch greener in person.
Mr. Green
Mr. Green is a deep forest green jelly base with scattered holographic and silver holo micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Poor Mr Green was abused throughout the movie
Mrs. White
Mrs. White is a white based crelly with scattered holographic and silver holo micro flakes. It does appear to almost be a very very light dove grey though because of the holo elements. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Colonel Mustard
Colonel Mustard is a mustard yellow crelly packed with scattered holographic and silver holo micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Miss Scarlet
Miss Scarlet is a medium, slightly pink tinged red with scattered holographic and silver holo micro glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Geekish Glitter Lacquer Who Dunnit? Collection
This collection really makes me want to watch the movie again, but the VHS tape is long gone and I never got it on DVD. I need to send Nick on the hunt to get it.
The application of all 8 shades was really well done. They are all packed with the same scattered holo and holographic micro flakes (which they all seem more like holographic crescent glitters to me personally) and they all played really nice. The bases had a nice squishy appearance and I got an incredible amount of glitter within each brush dip. I also only needed 1 coat of top coat to smooth all 8 shades.

These pictures are spectacular! The movie is no joke my favorite. I think I got the DVD for like $5 at Walmart! The flakes are a bit crescent shaped I have noticed. I love the way they sparkle though. Thank you for the review!
