Gabriel Cosmetics Nail Color Swatches and Review

I had the amazing opportunity to review 5 nail polishes from the company Gabriel Cosmetics.  Their nail polish line is brand new and judging by the formula and quality of the 5 nail polishes I was sent, they will do quite well in the nail polish world!  At the current time, they have 18 shades available and will soon have a base coat and top coat available.  Gabriel Cosmetics polishes are reasonably priced and extremely well pigmented.  Below are their current shades available:

Gabriel Cosmetics has a wonderful range of colors at the present time and there is something for everyone.  A few things you should know about the company is that when purchasing any of the Gabriel Cosmetics (makeup/skin care as well as polish!)  you are choosing cruelty-free products. Gabriel Cosmetic products are made from 100% natural ingredients. No synthetic chemicals or animal by-products are utilized, and no testing is ever done on animals.  I know a lot of readers who find this incredibly important, so I am more than happy to be able to recommend yet another cruelty free nail polish!  Another good thing to know – each month Gabriel Cosmetics donates a percentage of their online sales to a different charity or organization!  For the month of February they are donating 5% of all online sales to the Harmony Hill Retreat Center.  It really is amazing when a company contributes.

Ready for some swatches?  I hope so – get ready to be amazed!

I am going to lead the swatches off with Lagoon.  I have to start by saying that no picture will ever do this amazing polish justice.  Lagoon is a vibrantly bold royal blue.  This stuff GLOWS on the nail and in the bottle.  I used 2 coats to get the opacity I require and no top coat.  I wanted to show how glossy Lagoon is.  This was my absolute favorite of the group, hands down.

Manta Ray is the stunning silver of the collection.  It is a deep silver with a lighter silver shimmer throughout it.  I only used 2 coats of Manta Ray and again, look at the glossiness to it!  Beautiful!

Next up is Classic Red, and the name is well suited for this beauty.  It truly is a classic red!  I was going to use 2 coats on this color, but I only used 1 to show how amazingly pigmented Classic Red is!  This is the red every woman should have in her collection and would work well with a wide range of skintones!

Bordeaux is the vampy color of the group.  Bordeaux is a DEEP maroon color.  I used 3 coats to get perfect coverage of this color, the first 2 coats worked well but there were some spots I could still see that weren’t opaque, but 3 made them perfect.  Also – very sorry for the cleanup job on this one!  I didn’t notice how extremely messy it looked until AFTER the photos were done.

Last is Poseidon, the God of the Sea.  In some lighting Poseidon almost looks black, but really it is a deep navy blue.  I can honestly say I do not have a blue like this one in my collection.  I have deep reds, greens and purples, but not blue.  Lovely addition.  I could have stopped at 1 coat like I did with Classic Red, but I used 2 for this manicure.

Overall I am happy with the 5 Gabriel Cosmetics Nail Polishes I swatched.  The formula, pigmentation and brush were spot on what they should be.  My only complaint was the lid.  It is a chunky square and made holding it take some practice.  I am right handed, and when painting with my right hand I had a little trouble with it BUT oddly enough it was easier to paint with my non dominant hand.  Despite the lid issue, I would still gladly purchase more of Gabriel Cosmetics Nail Polish.

Gabriel Cosmetics Nail Polish can be found at www.gabrielcosmeticsinc.com and retails for $8.50 a bottle (the bottles are .5 fl oz).

Lagoon is so much better in person – the pictures came out good, but it does NOT capture all the color!

I wish you had Guava Glaze, I would have loved to see a swatch of that one. That one looks like the one I would want!
