I love gadgets. I don’t always fully understand them like my boyfriend does (he’s a tech wizard) but I still love them. When I find gadgets that fit into beauty and are easy enough for someone like me to understand? I get incredibly excited!
It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come with various technology in the beauty world, and am so incredibly honored to be among the first to try out something as interesting as the Solomomo Skin Care Wand. But what is the Solomomo Skin Care Wand? It’s an at-home device that tells you about your skin and what it needs. It helps to analyze your skin with a special wand at various points on your face to help pinpoint your skins hydration levels, pore size, wrinkles and more.
Why is this helpful? Well, if you’re like me then you run out and snap up new products as they release. Those products aren’t always suited for your skin needs though. The promises sound good, and you are desperate to improve your skin, but are you really focusing on areas you should be? The Solomomo will help you find what you should be focusing on so you stop wasting your money on products that will do diddly squat for you.
It all starts with this wand. After I plugged in my device, I selected Skin Wand on the touch screen menu. The Solomomo then instructed me to place the wand flush against my skin at various points on my face. The closeups of my skin were a bit worrisome (remember the first time you looked in a magnified mirror and were like ‘woah’ that’s kind like this but a little more amped up)
The touchscreen actually walks you through what points of your skin to place the wand. Then when in place, you press the grey button on the back of the wand and allow it to “scan” that area. The screen will prompt you to move locations when the scan is complete and you rinse and repeat until you’ve scanned all the points indicated.
Here’s “Skin Wand Mode” so you can get a better understanding of what the prompts look like. The large purple circle on the screen’s face is the location I’m currently scanning. The small green dot is already done and the grey dots on the face are other points to be scanned. And yes, that large circle that takes up half the screen is an up close and personal shot of my skin, just below my eye. I can actually SEE the dry patches and enlarged pores.
After you have scanned all the various points on your face, you receive a Skin Analysis with a Hydration Score, Cleanliness, Pore Detail and Wrinkles.
As time goes on, you will have the ability to see if skin care items you currently own are actually working for you but you can also target your actual skin problems easier so you aren’t wasting money on products you really don’t need.
Solomomo is also planning on expanding and intends to offer smart tweezers and a camera that shows a targeted area for creating perfectly tweezed brows. It’s also not just for women, there are plans to expand into trimmers as well in order to help men see the back of their hair while trimming. You can actually see in one of my photos (posting it again below) that there are other options on my touch screen for this planning!
Now the best part of the Solomomo device? It’s affordable. Right now you can get it for 50% off the normal $199.00 price tag, which drops it down to only $99.00.
Solomomo Skin Care Wand is still in the preorder stage, but will be releasing soon.
Skin care is getting better, and Solomomo is helping get us there.
