Tomorrow Frenzy Polish will be releasing their Mockingjay Collection. This is, of course, a collection with Hunger Games as it’s inspiration.

Let’s dive right into the collection. Below each photo will be a description as well as the inspiration behind the polish creation!

Mockingjay

Inspiration: The mockingjay costume Cinna made for Katniss in Catching Fire and her “title” given to inspire the districts.

Mockingjay is a deep blurple with shimmer and gold flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Three Fingered Salute

Inspiration: Gesture used by District 12 residents when they have to say thanks or just to show that the person is loved and respected by them. It’s a gesture of admiration, gratitude and saying goodbye to someone you love.

Three Fingered Salute is a grey creme base with blue to green to yellow iridescent flakies and green shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Effie

Inspiration: The bright purple outfits Effie Trinket has worn throughout the series

Effie is a purple jelly base with purple, pink and gold glitters and shimmers mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Tribute

Tribute is a vibrant blue jelly with blue and gold holographic glitters mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Real or Not Real

Inspiration: What Katniss and Peeta say to each other to help get them through difficult moments; reassuring each other.

REal Or Not Real is a teal jelly holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

If We Burn

Inspiration: Katniss’ voew to the Capital… “If we burn, you burn with us!”

If We Burn is a sheer red jelly base packed with scattered holo, red shimmer and silver microglitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat. For a deeper color and more depth, 3 coats would work nicely.

Squad 451

Inspiration: The star squad that includes Katniss, Peeta, Gale, Finnick, Cressida, etc.

Squad 451 is a black jelly base with silver and gold holographic microglitters and a blue to purple shifting shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Little Duck

Inspiration: Katniss’ nickname for her little sister.

Little Duck is a taupe to pale mauve base with shimmer and small purple micro flakes mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Frenzy Polish Mockingjay Collection Overview

I felt like this was a nicely done collection and the inspiration makes sense for me. Application for all of these shades was really nice and my top picks are Little Duck, Effie, Three Fingered Salute and Real or Not Real.
