Happy Wednesday! We’re a couple days away from the January 2025 Fandom Flakies Box launch, and the theme this time around is the Witcher!
If you are newer here, let’s go over the Fandom Flakies basics! So basically Fandom Flakies Box has 2 constant makers – Night Owl Lacquer and Bee’s Knees Lacquer. Ribbits Stickits is also a familiar face to the box – bringing fun add ons to the box to really bring the theme to life… and now you can also add on a Ribbits Stickits polish if you want. Each month the themes range from video games to tv shows to movies. Sometimes others – but those are the most common. Basically anything with a possible “fandom” is fair game in this box.
To be clear – the Ribbits Stickits polish is an add on and not part of the subscription box. If you buy the box it will only be BKL and NOL – you have to add the Ribbits Stickits to it, just like all the other Ribbits Stickits items.
Every month when the shop opens there are 40 Ready To Ship boxes made. Usually it will be said as “RTS” and that’s what that means. They are ready to go. Once the 40 RTS boxes are gone – they essentially go into preorder. The preordered boxes will ship between 2-4 weeks after the shop closes. They do aim for sooner but as we all know – USPS has a mind of its own and it’s just not always possible.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | I Prefer Not To Choose
I Prefer Not to Choose is a black jelly base with small flecks and small particle holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Night Owl Lacquer | We Will Rise
We Will Rise is a magenta jelly filled with fuchsia to red to orange to gold shifting micro flake shimmer and red reflective glitter. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.
Ribbits Stickits | Nobody Smart Plays Fair
Nobody Smart Plays Fair is a deep plum jelly base with black and purple reflective glitter, and a mix of violet and red crystal flakies. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.

Ribbits Stickits | Acetone Additive
Frogetaboutit Acetone Additive is a small vial of liquid that you shake up and pour into your acetone to lessen the harsh effects. It takes away that ashy look acetone can leave behind on your skin, plus gives a burst of scent to sort of cover up the smell of acetone.
If you are new to Acetone Additive, I suggest you shake the vial, pour in 1/4, test the acetone and then pour in more as you see fit. Depending on your skin type and what type of remover you use, the amount of additive needed with vary. If you tend to have oily skin – too much will make you oily, too little and it won’t seem like you used any. It’s a balancing act so add a little, test and add more as needed.

Ribbits Stickits | Water Slide Decals
These are like temporary tattoos for your nails. I usually cut the image I want off the sheet, set in water for 10-15 seconds, then remove the image from water and place face down on a stamping head. Then I slide the paper backing off leaving just the image on the stamper. Then I stamp the image down onto my nail firmly, lift stamper and then top coat.

Fandom Flakies January 2025 | The Witcher
I love the deeper color mix this month. I only recently saw the Witcher in any capacity and it was over my holiday break from work. I took some naps and usually Nick lays down when I take naps, and he stays until I fall asleep and then he’ll get up and go back to work or gaming. However – he would put on Witcher and .. we’d end up watching that and no napping happened.
