Now that the initial Polish Pickup rush is over (which all 4 makers here have polishes in, so you should look if you haven’t) I am going to start working on some more posts coming out in the next week or 2. First up is the Fandom Flakies Box September 2022 and the theme is Scream Queens!

Moon Shine Mani is this month’s guest maker! Moon Shine Mani picked a Scream Queens theme.

So basically Fandom Flakies Box has 2 constant makers – Night Owl Lacquer and Bee’s Knees Lacquer. Ribbits Stickits is also a familiar face to the box – bringing fun add ons to the box to really bring the theme to life. Then there is a guest maker. The guest maker each month picks the theme for the box and the themes range from video games to tv shows to movies. Sometimes others – but those are the most common. Basically anything with a possible “fandom” is fair game in this box.

Every month when the shop opens there are 40 Ready To Ship boxes made. Usually it will be said as “RTS” and that’s what that means. They are ready to go.

When you purchase a box, you will only receive the 3 polishes. It’s a flat rate of $33 plus shipping for the 3 polishes, and if you want to add Ribbits Stickits goodies – then the price goes up depending on what is added. But the baseline is $33 for the 3 polishes shown.

Want only the Ribbits Stickits addons? That’s perfectly fine – you can buy those alone as well.

Once the 40 RTS boxes are gone – they essentially go into preorder. The preordered boxes will ship between 2-4 weeks after the shop closes. They do aim for sooner but as we all know – USPS has a mind of its own and it’s just not always possible.

All polishes within the box are exclusive to the box. I believe the Ribbits Stickits items are as well.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Do You Like Scary Movies?

Do You Like Scary Movies? is a deep raspberry jelly base loaded with cobalt to purple shifting shimmer and silver holographic microflakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Can we take a second to look at the final matte photo (yeah I did matte this time!) and see that velvety goodness?

This polish was inspired by Scream Queen Sydney Prescott (Scream)

Night Owl Lacquer | Atmosphere & Suspense

Atmosphere & Suspense is a pale grey crelly base loaded with orange to copper to gold to green crystal chameleon flakes and silver holographic micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The flakes in this one pop when the lights hit just right. Between that and the holo sparkle, this is a nice neutral shade with a bit o’ bling.

Moon Shine Mani | Get Out Of The Water

Get Out Of The Water is a medium ocean blue crelly base filled with red to gold to green shimmer, black micro flakes, as well as iridescent flakes that shift red to gold to green, and sapphire to aqua to green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Lots of color shifts in this one and it looks a touch different in almost every lighting.

Ribbits Stickits | Acetone Additive

Frogetaboutit Acetone Additive is a small vial of liquid that you shake up and pour into your acetone to lessen the harsh effects. It takes away that ashy look acetone can leave behind on your skin, plus gives a burst of scent to sort of cover up the smell of acetone.

If you are new to Acetone Additive, I suggest you shake the vial, pour in half, test the acetone and then pour in more as you see fit. Depending on your skin type and what type of remover you use, the amount of additive needed with vary. If you tend to have oily skin – too much will make you oily, too little and it won’t seem like you used any. It’s a balancing act so add a little, test and add more as needed.

The September scent is Scream Queen! The scent description is fruity strawberry and grapefruit top notes followed by orange and jasmine with sweet raspberry and green leaves with plum and cedar bottom notes. Please note: this fragrance blend does include bergamot essential oil.

My nose immediately picks up the berry notes and then a very light floral that sweetens it a bit.

Ribbits Stickits | Un-frog-gettable Hand & Cuticle Cream

This hand and cuticle cream is thick enough so it can be used every day in small amounts, or slather it on at night for a more intensive treatment.

The September scent is Scream Queen! The scent description is fruity strawberry and grapefruit top notes followed by orange and jasmine with sweet raspberry and green leaves with plum and cedar bottom notes. Please note: this fragrance blend does include bergamot essential oil.

Ribbits Stickits | Water Slide Decals

For September we have 2 sheets of horror movie themed water slides! I’m a total scary movie chicken, but these are still fun for me for this time of year!

These are like temporary tattoos for your nails. I usually cut the image I want off the sheet, set in water for 10-15 seconds, then remove the image from water and place face down on a stamping head. Then I slide the paper backing off leaving just the image on the stamper. Then I stamp the image down onto my nail firmly, lift stamper and then top coat.
