Happy Sunday! It’s been super busy but I finished up my swatches and video for the Fandom Flakies Box for October 2024.. and they are ready for sharing! The theme this month is Psych.

To see everything applied and demonstrated, check out my YouTube below:

If you are newer here, let’s go over the Fandom Flakies basics! So basically Fandom Flakies Box has 2 constant makers – Night Owl Lacquer and Bee’s Knees Lacquer. Ribbits Stickits is also a familiar face to the box – bringing fun add ons to the box to really bring the theme to life. Each month the themes range from video games to tv shows to movies. Sometimes others – but those are the most common. Basically anything with a possible “fandom” is fair game in this box.

Every month when the shop opens there are 40 Ready To Ship boxes made. Usually it will be said as “RTS” and that’s what that means. They are ready to go. Once the 40 RTS boxes are gone – they essentially go into preorder. The preordered boxes will ship between 2-4 weeks after the shop closes. They do aim for sooner but as we all know – USPS has a mind of its own and it’s just not always possible.

Let’s jump in!

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | I Demand I Dig My Own Grave

I Demand I Dig My Own Grave is a silvery pastel multichrome base that shifts orange to green with holo microflakes and multichrome flakes that shift violet to purple to blue to green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The final photo shows I Demand I Dig My Own Grave over a black creme.

Night Owl Lacquer | I Bruised My Coccyx

I Bruised My Coccyx is a sheer forest green jelly base filled with cobalt blue holographic micro flake glitters and green to blue to violet to fuschia shifting crystal flakes. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.

The final photo shows 1 coat over a black creme.

Ribbits Stickits | Un-Frog-Gettable Hand & Cuticle Cream

This hand and cuticle cream is thick enough so it can be used every day in small amounts, or slather it on at night for a more intensive treatment.

Scent Description: Sweet pineapples, vanilla flavored cake with hints of butter and brown sugar.

The pineapple scent is the key scent in this but it smells like a VERY pineapple forward Pineapple Upside Down Cake.

Ribbits Stickits | Vinyl Sticker

The Vinyl sticker is fairly easy to apply (I show it in my video at the top) but basically peel the paper backing off and the design will stick to the clear “grid” side. Then place where you want it (use the grid to help apply straight) and use a card of some sort (I started with my hands and switched to my scraper I used for stamping) then slowly peel back the “grid” portion to leave the sticker on the surface.

Ribbits Stickits | Water Slide Decals

These are like temporary tattoos for your nails. I usually cut the image I want off the sheet, set in water for 10-15 seconds, then remove the image from water and place face down on a stamping head. Then I slide the paper backing off leaving just the image on the stamper. Then I stamp the image down onto my nail firmly, lift stamper and then top coat.

there is only 1 sheet of decals available this month

Fandom Flakies Box October 2024 | Psych

I love this show and this made me leave a little note for myself to watch it again after I’m done with my current show. I was half expecting more of a limey or kiwi like green but we just had a brighter green recently.

Application wise – everything was great. The NOL did need glitter smoother due to the flake and glitter content.
