Tomorrow is May 1st, so tonight is the perfect night to post the Fandom Flakies Box for May 2020 with the theme, Spirited Away!

I was planning on doing a boatload of swatching tonight, but once I got home from work – I felt meh. It’s my fault – lack of sleep.. but then the info came in for this box – so I at least feel like I’m not wasting the night away. With everything going on, and work then homeschooling – I’m sleeping less than normal. I’ve always been a night owl and I think I’m getting too old for it honestly (not really) and it’s catching up to me. I had 4 days off over the weekend and Nick and I stayed up till 2am pretty much all 4 nights, so I’m struggling. Monday through last night I was up until midnight. I think I’m gonna sleep in for a long time on Saturday morning.

Anyways – let’s get on with the show.

This month is all about Spirited Away. I don’t know much about it – other than there are Soot Sprites (that’s what they’re called… right?) and they are freaking adorable.

The Fandom Flakies Box for May 2020 features Bee’s Knees Lacquer, Night Owl Lacquer and the guest maker is Illyrian. Ribbits Stickits is back as well and you can snag her cute water slide decals and vinyl decal as add ons to the box.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | If You Don’t Play With Me, I’ll Cry

If You Don’t Play With Me, I’ll Cry is a soft mustard leaning beige packed with green to blue to purple iridescent flakes and bright gold flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This dried with a light texture, but smoothed over easily with 1 coat of top coat.

Night Owl Lacquer | Can’t Beat The Power Of Love

Can’t Beat The Power Of Love is a slightly dusty turquoise blue crelly base with violet to red to gold crystal chameleon flakes and silvery white shimmer flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Illyrian | Thousand Questions

Thousand Questions is a smokey, medium purple crelly base packed with silver holo flakes and glitters, orange to green, aqua to indigo, gold to green and orange to gold iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ribbits Stickits | Waterslide Decals & Vinyl Decal

Ribbits Stickits has a Soot Sprite vinyl sticker for us this month ($5 add on) as well as a Spirited Away themed waterslide decal sheet ($5 add on). I kept my mani simple and used the soot sprites!

Both water slide decals and vinyl stickers come with instructions on how to use – they’re pretty easy though.

Even as someone who doesn’t know much about the theme… this box is just adorable.

I had no application issues with any of the shades and all 3 polishes worked quite well with my skin tone (cool neutral)
