The Monday holiday thing threw me off, so I have a few of today’s releases to share! First up we have the Fandom Flakies Box July 2021 with an Animal Crossing theme!
The July box welcomes Wildflower Lacquer as the guest maker, and they are joining Bee’s Knees Lacquer and Night Owl Lacquer in this Animal Crossing box!
I still haven’t played Animal Crossing, and I really don’t know a ton about it other than what I’ve seen posted here and there on Facebook.
As usual – Ribbits Stickits also joins us with some fun extras to jazz up and personalize your box.
This box released a little over an hour ago – so lets jump in!
Bee’s Knees Lacquer | How Much for a Turnip?
How Much For A Turnip? to me is best described as a dirty silver base (it’s not the bright silvery look) and it has a shift that goes a pale rose gold to silver to green to a very pale violet. Mixed in are blue to violet iridescent flakes and holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Night Owl Lacquer | Wasp Sting
Wasp Sting is a bright, almost mustard tinged yellow crelly base with gold holographic shreds and gold to bronze to green crystal flakes, as well as coppery flecks. The effects mixed in aren’t super in your face and more complimentary to the base color. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos
Wildflower Lacquer | Mermaid Melody
Mermaid Melody is a pale rose pink crelly base loaded with a rainbow assortment of crystal flakes and scattered holo flecks. I used 2 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Due to the massive flake content – this one will feel thick on application. I prefer thinner coats to easily maneuver the flakes and about a pile up. This is perfectly normal for this type of polish and gives a beautiful scale like look in 2 easy coats that doesn’t have too much texture.
If you do thicker coats, you may need 2 coats of top coat to smooth over.
Ribbits Stickits | Acetone Additive Duo
Acetone Additive is back in this lovely duo! The scent profiles are:
1. I’d Rather Be Picking Fruit: ripened peach, cranberry, bergamot, jasmine, white musk, strawberries, pineapple, jasmine, creamy coconut, basil, sparkling notes of lime, lemon, and orange rinds
2. 5 Star Island: sweet blend of tangy, tropical and exotic grapefruit, tropical pineapple and creamy coconut in a smooth, subtle vanilla base
Both are well done and give me vacation vibes. There will also be a hand cream duo in the same scents (not shown in this post)
For those unaware, acetone additive is a small vial of liquid that you shake up and pour into your acetone to lessen the harsh effects. It takes away that ashy look acetone can leave behind.
If you are new to Acetone Additive, I suggest you shake the vial, pour in half, test the acetone and then pour in more as you see fit.
This duo will be an additional $8.00

Ribbits Stickits | Vinyls
Vinyls are back! We have 2 Vinyls this month – one is a green holographic leaf and the others has the same holo leaf and says “I’d Rather Be Playing Animal Crossing”
Instructions will be included on how to apply, but they can be added to binders, helmers and other flat surfaces.
The Leaf Vinyl will be an additional $5.00

The waterslide decals this month comes with 3 sheets with a great assortment on each! Sheet 1 is phrases and logo, sheet 2 has a ton of characters, and sheet 3 has items within the game.

Fandom Flakies Box July 2021 | Animal Crossing
Another good assortment and I’m especially crushing on the yellow. I feel like i don’t have enough wearable yellows (my skin tone doesn’t do well with most yellows and oranges) plus I own a shirt that matches this yellow exactly (I know because I happened to be wearing it when I was swatching)
