That’s right, the Fandom Flakies Box is kicking off in January of 2023 with a Spongebob theme… and this is a fun one!
Spongebob is probably the one show I would stop what I was doing and watch it with my son when he was little. I couldn’t stand most kids shows, but this is one that would make us both laugh. He had themed birthdays with Spongebob and even now if I am in the kitchen and yell “ARE YOU READY KIDS?” Jacob will yell back “AYE AYE CAPTAIN!” and he’s almost 17. So for me personally – this brings back fun memories with Jacob and sort of makes me realize how quickly he grew up. It feels like I was watching this with him only yesterday, but it was 13 to 14 years ago.

Anyways. The January Fandom Flakies Box will only have the staple makers involved, no guest maker. So those with subscriptions – you will be manually refunded $10.00 this month since it’s only 2 polishes. It will be back to normal with a guest maker in February though.
Want to sign up for the subscription – Yay! You have 2 options – polish only (usually $33/box but this month it will be $22 since it’s 2 makers only) or polish + $10 in Ribbits Stickits goodies (usually $43/box but this month is $32) and for January you will receive $10 in vinyl and decals.
So basically Fandom Flakies Box has 2 constant makers – Night Owl Lacquer and Bee’s Knees Lacquer. Ribbits Stickits is also a familiar face to the box – bringing fun add ons to the box to really bring the theme to life. Usually there is a guest maker, but this month we have just the hosts.
Themes for the Fandom Flakies Box range from video games to tv shows to movies. Sometimes others – but those are the most common. Basically anything with a possible “fandom” is fair game in this box. Every month when the shop opens there are 40 Ready To Ship boxes made. Usually it will be said as “RTS” and that’s what that means. They are ready to go.
There is a flat rate (as mentioned above) but if you want to purchase addons for your subscription (hand and cuticle cream, decals, acetone additive, etc) you can for an additional cost. Want only the Ribbits Stickits addons? That’s perfectly fine – you can buy those alone as well.
Once the 40 RTS boxes are gone – they essentially go into preorder. The preordered boxes will ship between 2-4 weeks after the shop closes. They do aim for sooner but as we all know – USPS has a mind of its own and it’s just not always possible.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | The Walls Will Ooze Green Slime
The Walls Will Ooze Green is a blackened green jelly base with sparkling green to blue shimmer and holo flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade is a cousin to Lion With A Thorn In It’s Paw.
Night Owl Lacquer | The Inner Machinations Of My Mind Are An Enigma
The Inner Machinations Of My Mind Are An Enigma is a clear base loaded with peach micro flakes, as well as red to orange to peach to gold shifting micro fleck shimmer and holographic flecks. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Ribbits Stickits | Un-frog-gettable Hand & Cuticle Cream
This hand and cuticle cream is thick enough so it can be used every day in small amounts, or slather it on at night for a more intensive treatment.
Bikini Bottom scent description:
Pineapple, blueberry, and coconut blended with bergamot, sandalwood, and sugared citrus.
My nose picks up an almost creamy coconut scent with the sugared citrus. I don’t get a lot of sandalwood (which I usually am sensitive to) but it’s a nice, light tropical scent.
This is an add on item for $7.50 (it is 2 ounces)
Ribbits Stickits | Doodlebob Vinyl Sticker
Doodlebob Vinyl Sticker is easy to apply, just peel off the backing and lay the decal down where you’d like to apply. Press down firmly over entire sticker, then slowly lift away the plastic top piece. I do show how it’s done in my YouTube video linked above.

Ribbits Stickits | Water Slide Decals
These are like temporary tattoos for your nails. I usually cut the image I want off the sheet, set in water for 10-15 seconds, then remove the image from water and place face down on a stamping head. Then I slide the paper backing off leaving just the image on the stamper. Then I stamp the image down onto my nail firmly, lift stamper and then top coat.
This month there are 2 sheets for Spongebob and each sheet is $6.00 as an add-on.

This is a fun month for me, mainly for nostalgia. I also used to call Jacob a Goofy Goober when he was being silly and I still do sometimes.
