Every so often that little sub box comes around that just speaks to you. When I saw Fandom Flakies picked Scrubs as their January inspiration – I knew I had to grab one. So I will admit I danced around in my chair (too lazy to actually get up, to be completely honest) when I was asked to review the January 2019 box.

Scrubs is one of maybe four shows I can actually watch over and over without getting tired of it. Dr. Cox is by far my favorite character on the show. From his quick quips to his breakdowns, I just love him.

For the January 2019 Fandom Flakies Box we’ll see polishes from Night Owl Lacquer & Bee’s Knees Lacquer as usual, and Girly Bits is the guest maker this month. We also have some nifty water slide decals from Ribbits Stickits.

Night Owl Lacquer | I Care So Little I Almost Passed Out

I Care So Little I Almost Passed Out was inspired by my favorite – Dr. Cox. This is a white crelly base with aqua blue shimmer, cyan to aqua to blue ultrachrome chameleon flakes, as well as red to copper to gold ultrachrome chameleon flakes. Due to the elements, the base appears a light dove grey more so than white.

I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Hooch Is Crazy

Hooch Is Crazy is inspired by Hooch. He was an orthopedic surgeon at Sacred Heart Hospital and you throughout the show you see him becoming more unstable.

Hooch is Crazy is a bright, fiery, orange jelly with red shimmer and iridescent flakes that shift red to green, as well as red to purple to orange flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Girly Bits | Dude, We’re A Little Married

Dude, We’re A Little Married is inspired by the bromance between J.D. and Turk. This is a deep turquoise jelly base with a touch of violet shimmer, as well as color shifting flakes in blue, purple, green, pink and gold. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ribbits Stickits | Scrubs Water Slide Decals

Along with the 3 polishes, you can also pick up a Scrubs themed sheet of water slide decals. It has quotes, images and the show logo. I used a decal for each photo above, and had no issue applying. Since they are on clear decal sheets, they work best over light shades.

Fandom Flakies Box January 2019 | Scrubs

I was thrilled with this box. I love the shades, I love the names and I love the inspiration. I had no application issues to mention, and this box was pretty much incredible for a Scrubs fan like me.

There will also be a pair of wax melts by Bee’s Knees Lacquer that are made to complement each other: Chocolate Bear and Vanilla Bear. They both have a touch of caramel in honor of the third bear Turk and JD lost. The pair of 4 oz wax melts will be $9 in the shop. The
