Happy Wednesday! For February 2025, Fandom Flakies took on the theme of The Lord of the Rings!
If you are newer here, let’s go over the Fandom Flakies basics! So basically Fandom Flakies Box has 2 constant makers – Night Owl Lacquer and Bee’s Knees Lacquer. Ribbits Stickits is also a familiar face to the box – bringing fun add ons to the box to really bring the theme to life… and now you can also add on a Ribbits Stickits polish if you want. Each month the themes range from video games to tv shows to movies. Sometimes others – but those are the most common. Basically anything with a possible “fandom” is fair game in this box.
To be clear – the Ribbits Stickits polish is an add on and not part of the subscription box. If you buy the box it will only be BKL and NOL – you have to add the Ribbits Stickits to it, just like all the other Ribbits Stickits items.
Every month when the shop opens there are 40 Ready To Ship boxes made. Usually it will be said as “RTS” and that’s what that means. They are ready to go. Once the 40 RTS boxes are gone – they essentially go into preorder. The preordered boxes will ship between 2-4 weeks after the shop closes. They do aim for sooner but as we all know – USPS has a mind of its own and it’s just not always possible.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | I am a Bride to No Man
I am a Bride to No Man is a fiery orangey red jelly with red to green microflakes, matte black flakes, and a scattering of holo mircoflakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Night Owl Lacquer | There Is Always Hope
There is Always Hope is a light sage crelly base with large particle copper sparkle shimmer, gold/bronze/green and red/orange/gold multichrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Ribbits Stickits | What’s Taters, Precious?
What’s Taters, Precious? is a medium greyish brown crelly base with black flakes, lime shifting crystal flakes and blue aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ribbits Stickits | Car Freshener
Car Fresheners are cute little glass bottles with fragrance inside. When you are ready to use it, unscrew the wooden cap, pop out the plastic stopper inside the bottle, screw the wooden cap back on. Then hold upside down for 30 seconds while the liquid soaks into the wooden cap. This is start to let the scent slowly come to life.
The string helps hang it in your car from the rearview mirror!
The Shire scent description: Salty, oceanic accords, grapefruit, sweet oranges, and juicy pineapple mingle with jasmine and apricot, creamy vanilla sandalwood, and amber
Ribbits Stickits | Water Slide Decals
These are like temporary tattoos for your nails. I usually cut the image I want off the sheet, set in water for 10-15 seconds, then remove the image from water and place face down on a stamping head. Then I slide the paper backing off leaving just the image on the stamper. Then I stamp the image down onto my nail firmly, lift stamper and then top coat.

Fandom Flakies Box February 2025 | The Lord of the Rings
Confession time… I’ve never seen LOTR. When it initially came out, I was working 2 jobs and honestly didn’t see any movie in the theater or otherwise during that time frame. Then I met Jacob’s father and he wasn’t one for the movies – so our dates were typically out and about and not sitting in a theater. Then of course Jacob was born in 2006 and no way was I going to be able to sit through a long movie with a baby and then toddler. By the time he was old enough – I was taking care of him without his fathers help and just didn’t have time and when I had time, it never crossed my mind to watch it.
Once day it will happen – it’s just a long time commitment that I haven’t managed yet. One day though. Although now people have found out I haven’t seen it and the pressure is on, and part of me feels like I can’t watch it on principle. I’m stubborn like that.
