Happy Thursday! We’ve got the final Fandom Flakies Box for December 2021 to look at tonight… and the final theme for 2021 is Guardians of the Galaxy!
I have noticed that the Fandom Flakies Box Fan Group on Facebook is gaining some new faces – so I’m going to explain the box a little more. I think I backed off since most seemed to know the drill, but based on some questions – there are enough new faces to rehash it all.
So basically Fandom Flakies Box has 2 constant makers – Night Owl Lacquer and Bee’s Knees Lacquer. Ribbits Stickits is also a familiar face to the box – bringing fun add ons to the box to really bring the theme to life. Then there is a guest maker. The guest maker each month picks the theme for the box and the themes range from video games to tv shows to movies. Sometimes others – but those are the most common. Basically anything with a possible “fandom” is fair game in this box.
Every month when the shop opens there are 40 Ready To Ship boxes made. Usually it will be said as “RTS” and that’s what that means. They are ready to go.
When you purchase a box, you will only receive the 3 polishes. It’s a flat rate of $30 plus shipping for the 3 polishes, and if you want to add Ribbits Stickits goodies – then the price goes up depending on what is added. But the baseline is $30 for the 3 polishes shown.
Want only the Ribbits Stickits addons? That’s perfectly fine – you can buy those alone as well.
Once the 40 RTS boxes are gone – they essentially go into preorder. The preordered boxes will ship between 2-4 weeks after the shop closes. They do aim for sooner but as we all know – USPS has a mind of it’s own and it’s just not always possible.
All polishes within the box are exclusive to the box. I believe the Ribbits Stickits items are as well.
For December, Supernatural Lacquer joins Fandom Flakies Box and they picked the fandom Guardians of the Galaxy!

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Kick Names, Take Ass
Bee’s Knees Lacquer Kick Names, Take Ass is inspired by Mantis and this is a sheer olive green tinted base with green to pink iridescent flakes and holographic silver micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This polish can be used as a topper over medium or darker colors as well.
Night Owl Lacquer | Dance Off Bro!
Dance Off Bro! is a dark grey crelly base loaded with purple to pink to gold to green shimmer, with charcoal flakes and purple metallic flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Supernatural Lacquer | Nothing Goes Over My Head
Nothing Goes Over My Head is a greyish-lavender tinged light blue crelly base with red to gold shifting shimmer, red holographic flekcs and magenta to pink to gold shifting flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Ribbits Stickits | Frogetaboutit Acetone Additive
Frogetaboutit Acetone Additive is a small vial of liquid that you shake up and pour into your acetone to lessen the harsh effects. It takes away that ashy look acetone can leave behind on your skin, plus gives a burst of scent to sort of cover up the smell of acetone.
If you are new to Acetone Additive, I suggest you shake the vial, pour in half, test the acetone and then pour in more as you see fit. Depending on your skin type and what type of remover you use, the amount of additive needed with vary. If you tend to have oily skin – too much will make you oily, too little and it won’t seem like you used any. It’s a balancing act so add a little, test and add more as needed.
For December – the scent is Awesome Mix Vol. 1 & 2: masculine blend of musk, patchouli, sage and mahogany cologne.
The musk and sage is what my nose primarily picks up. If you are familiar with Yankee Candle Midsummer Night – this is similar but not as strong as the candle can be… but it’s also not light.
This is an add on item and will be $4.00
Ribbits Stickits | Un-frog-gettable Hand and Cuticle Cream
This hand and cuticle cream is thick enough so it can be used every day in small amounts, or slather it on at night for a more intensive treatment.
For December – the scent is Awesome Mix Vol. 1 & 2: masculine blend of musk, patchouli, sage and mahogany cologne.

Ribbits Stickits | Water Slide Decals
I want to start off with the fact that Ribbits Stickits changed their water slide decals a few months ago, and they are printed on a different transfer paper. They are thinner so when you apply to the nail you don’t get that image outline from the decal. They hug your nail and look nice. The only thing I will say though – They fold in on themselves easier if you go at it all willy nilly – so pay attention when you do placement and beware of that.
If you ordered in the last 2-3 months, you’ve already experienced the new decals (which I seriously love) but I want to keep stating that in these posts so you aren’t surprised if it’s been a bit.
This months set has 3 sheets with Guardians of the Galaxy inspiration and it comes with instructions. Fairly easy to use though. Cut out the design you want, set in water for 15 seconds, slide design/decal off paper backing and carefully place on nail… then seal with top coat.
Decals are add ons for $10 for all 3 sheets
