This August 2021 Fandom Flakies Box welcomes Painted Polish as the guest maker, and they will be joining Bee’s Knees Lacquer and Night Owl Lacquer in this Firefly themed box.
I feel like I’m saying this more and more – but I haven’t actually seen this show. I do know it’s where one of my favorite GIFS originates from though…
As usual, Ribbits Stickits will be joining in with some fun add ons so you can put a little personalization into your box.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Curse Your Sudden But Inevitable Betrayal
Curse Your Sudden But Inevitable Betrayal is a slightly dusty, medium blue with red to orange to gold and purple to silver iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Night Owl Lacquer | You Can’t Take the Sky From Me
You Can’t Take The Sky From Me is a sheer black jelly base loaded with blue to purple shifting shimmer, holographic micro flakes and blue to purple multichrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade dries down with a slight texture, so you may need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.
Painted Polish | Captain Tight Pants
Captain Tight Pants is a rust colored crelly base with crushed gold flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Ribbits Stickits | Acetone Additive
Acetone Additive is a small vial of liquid that you shake up and pour into your acetone to lessen the harsh effects. It takes away that ashy look acetone can leave behind on your skin, plus gives a burst of scent to sort of cover up the smell of acetone.
If you are new to Acetone Additive, I suggest you shake the vial, pour in half, test the acetone and then pour in more as you see fit.
This month’s scent is: Everything’s Shiny Cap’n-a summery mix of strawberry, guava, passionfruit, mango, vanilla, peach, sugar, and cream.
It’s super fruity and smells like a delicious smoothie!

Ribbits Stickits | Hand & Cuticle Cream
Ribbits Stickits is also bringing a hand and cuticle cream in a scent that matches the acetone additive!
This hand and cuticle cream is thick enough so it can be used every day in small amounts, or slather it on at night for a more intensive treatment.
Everything’s Shiny Cap’n-a summery mix of strawberry, guava, passionfruit, mango, vanilla, peach, sugar, and cream.
As I mentioned before – it smells like a fruity smoothie!

Ribbits Stickits | Vinyl Sticker
We have one Vinyl Sticker this month and it’s in a shifty metallic design! These are easy to use and transfer. All you have to do is:
1. Scrape over the entire image going over it several times(use a credit card or something with a thin hard edge) This will help the vinyl stick to the transfer sheet.
2. Place the decal face down & slowly peel the white backing from the translucent transfer sheet.
3. Slowly remove transfer sheet, making sure all of the pieces of the vinyl are sticking to the transfer tape.
4. Clean the surface where you are applying your sticker.
5. Add your sticker to the surface, smooth down.
6. Take your scraper & scrape all over the image(use your fingers if scraping isn’t an option)
7. Slowly & carefully remove the transfer sheet leaving your sticker decal in place.

Ribbits and Stickits | Waterslide Decals
I want to start off with the fact that Ribbits Stickits changed their water slide decals and I’m here for it! They are thinner so when you apply to the nail you don’t get that image outline from the decal. They hug your nail and look nice. The only thing I will say though – They fold in on themselves easier if you go at it all willy nilly – so pay attention when you do placement and beware of that. I didn’t realize they had changed at first and ruined 2 of them.
These do come with instructions and are fun to use!
