Happy Monday! I was a busy bee over the weekend swatching and doing household stuff… so I have lots of posts coming your way this week. To kick the week off – let’s take a look at the upcoming Fandom Flakies Box for April 2022 and the theme is Fairytale Villains!
The guest maker for the Fandom Flakies Box for April 2022 is Envy Lacquer! As always – the guest maker selects the monthly theme and Envy Lacquer selected Fairytale Villains… which I love! I like the cutesy Fairytale stuff, but as I get older… I relate to the villains more and more it seems.
Anyways… I have noticed that the Fandom Flakies Box Fan Group on Facebook is gaining some new faces – so I’m going to explain the box a little more. I think I backed off since most seemed to know the drill, but based on some questions – there are enough new faces to rehash it all.
So basically Fandom Flakies Box has 2 constant makers – Night Owl Lacquer and Bee’s Knees Lacquer. Ribbits Stickits is also a familiar face to the box – bringing fun add ons to the box to really bring the theme to life. Then there is a guest maker. The guest maker each month picks the theme for the box and the themes range from video games to tv shows to movies. Sometimes others – but those are the most common. Basically anything with a possible “fandom” is fair game in this box.
Every month when the shop opens there are 40 Ready To Ship boxes made. Usually it will be said as “RTS” and that’s what that means. They are ready to go.
When you purchase a box, you will only receive the 3 polishes. It’s a flat rate of $33 plus shipping for the 3 polishes, and if you want to add Ribbits Stickits goodies – then the price goes up depending on what is added. But the baseline is $33 for the 3 polishes shown.
Want only the Ribbits Stickits addons? That’s perfectly fine – you can buy those alone as well.
Once the 40 RTS boxes are gone – they essentially go into preorder. The preordered boxes will ship between 2-4 weeks after the shop closes. They do aim for sooner but as we all know – USPS has a mind of it’s own and it’s just not always possible.
All polishes within the box are exclusive to the box. I believe the Ribbits Stickits items are as well.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | Poor Unfortunate Souls
Poor Unfortunate Souls is a sheer purple tinted base with black to blue to purple multichrome flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade can also be a topper. The consistency of the base is more like a crelly than a topper would be though, I hope that makes sense.
Night Owl Lacquer | Mistress of Evil (Reflective Glitter)
Mistress of Evil is a clear base loaded with red reflective micro glitter and black to burgundy to red to gold multichrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade will dry down with some texture, so you might need a glitter smooth topper or 2 coats of top coat to get a smooth glossy finish.
Envy Lacquer | Friends On The Other Side (Reflective Glitter)
Friends on The Other Side is an aubergine jelly base with red to gold shifting ultrachrome chameleon flakes, as well as an assortment of reflective glitter colors to represent Dr Facilier’s friend on the other side. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Ribbits Stickits | Un-frog-gettable Hand & Cuticle Creams
This hand and cuticle cream is thick enough so it can be used every day in small amounts, or slather it on at night for a more intensive treatment.
Most month’s we have 1 jar of Un-frog-gettable Hand & Cuticle Cream, but this month we have 4 smaller jars (20 mL) for a little… sampler pack? I guess that’s the right word I’m looking for.
There are 4 different scents to this, and the descriptions are below:
The Evil Queen: Sweet candy, tart, green apples with vanilla bean, bourbon, butterscotch and a little bit of spice.
Mistress Of Evil: smoldering woods, fiery cinnamon, molten clove, poppy, smoke, vetiver woods, subtle citrus, cool ozone and pine and cedar notes and rich vanilla cream.
The Witch Doctor: sweet tobacco blended with whiskey, red currant, citrus peel, followed by amber, oak, pine, cedar, cypress white geraniums, and vanilla, ending wjth vetiver, sandalwood, dark musk and sequoia woods.
The Sea Witch: fruity limoncello, pineapple, sugared mint, sea-infused tropical flowers, sea moss, sun drenched volcanic rock and bleached coral, black coconut, cassis, sandalwood, tonka bean and driftwood, base of vetiver and cedar wood.
This is an add on item for $12.00 (Set of 4 jars, each jar is 20 mL)
Ribbits Stickits | Water Slide Nail Decals
These are like temporary tattoos for your nails. I usually cut the image I want off the sheet, set in water for 10-15 seconds, then remove the image from water and place face down on a stamping head. Then I slide the paper backing off leaving just the image on the stamper. Then I stamp the image down onto my nail firmly, lift stamper and then top coat.
There are other ways to do it – this is my preferred method.
There are 2 sheets of water slide decals this month, each with an assortment of Fairytale Villains to choose from and popular sayings from each one.

Fandom Flakies Box April 2022 | Fairytale Villains
While I love the sing songy cuteness of Fairytales, I do enjoy a good Villain. As time goes on, I understand a little more why they are the way they are.. and I know I’m not alone in that.
The pricing for the box changed recently – and there is a subscription option if you want to automatically receive these boxes. There are 2 different subscription box offerings: $33.00 for the 3 polishes only, or $43.00 for the 3 polishes plus $10 in additional Ribbits Stickits items. This month’s Ribbit Stickits extras will be the waterslides for the sub box.
Of course you can still purchase without a sub if you prefer.
