Assorted Swatches
Tonight I have some random shades to share, and it isn’t a collection – so I was at a loss for what to name the post. We’re going with Fancy Gloss Assorted Swatches!
Fancy Gloss sent over 8 different polishes for me to check out and photograph. I do own a few of her polishes already – and if you are into thermals, you are in for a treat.
5 of the 8 shades I received are thermals and 2 are holographic and 1 is Multichrome. I believe all 8 of these are currently available in the shop since she recently restocked.
Let’s jump right in!
Fancy Gloss | Beach Glass
Beach Glass is a green leaning teal scattered holographic with violet to gold to green to red flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This is a bit more teal in person – my camera doesn’t play well with this type of shade. Don’t worry though – I’m in the process of learning a new camera – so hopefully this won’t be an issue for long.
Fancy Gloss | Blue Lagoon
Blue Lagoon is a gorgeous medium blue linear holographic. The holo is strong in this shade. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fancy Gloss | Cyborg Girl
Cyborg Girl is a metallic medium pink to metallic silver thermal shade. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fancy Gloss | Goddess Of The Night
Goddess of the Night is a deep eggplant purple to bright pink leaning purple thermal with coppery shimmer and pink to green to orange to yellow flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fancy Gloss | Hades
Hades is a dark wine purple to violet purple thermal with loads of copper shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fancy Gloss | Maverick
Maverick is the multichrome of the assortment. This shifts from a navy blue to purple to red to gold and you can see some green at extreme angles. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fancy Gloss | Mr Sun
Mr Sun is a banana yellow to pale pastel yellow thermal that is loaded with gold shimmer and green to red to copper flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fancy Gloss | Phoenix Bird
Last up we have Phoenix Bird! This is a rusty red to orange thermal with copper shimmer and green to gold to copper flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

These were beautifully done! Mr. Sun and Phoenix Bird aren’t my personal tastes purely because I don’t do oranges and yellows much – but color preference aside – they preformed beautifully. All 8 polishes applied nicely and the thermals were very reactive and had fabulous transitions.
My favorite of these 8 are Hades, Goddess Of The Night, Blue Lagoon and Cyborg Girl.
