I have a fairly special brand on the blog today! Back when I was fairly new this particular brand reached out to work with me, and it was one of my first swatching opportunities. 5 years later, they contacted again and here we are! I have Fanchromatic Nails The Maze, I Am In A Dream, These Violent Delights & My Dreams Are About Frosting to share with you!
Fanchromatic Nails sent 4 shades to review and they are just as fab as I remember them!
Let’s take a look at these 4 shades.
The Maze
First up we have The Maze, which is a thermal polish. This is easily my top pick (I love thermals when I can photograph them) but it also held up this post a bit! As soon as I received it, our temps here went into the 105 range… and it would stay cold long enough to photograph.
The Maze was inspired by Westworld!
“There is something I’d like you to try. It’s a game. It’s called the Maze. It’s a very special kind of game. The goal is to find the center of it. If you can do that, then maybe you can be free.”
The Maze is a thermal that changes from an opaque black when cold to a clear when warm and has copper holographic glitters and a sprinkling of scattered holo within it. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. I’m going to show it first in it’s cold state (black) to warm (clear)
These Violent Delights
These Violent Delights is also inspired by Westworld!
“These violent delights have violent ends.”
These Violent Delights is a red leaning orange jelly base packed with gold shimmer flecks and magenta to red to orange to gold color changing chrome flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade is not yet listed in the shop, but I’ll alert on my Instagram and Facebook when it is!
I Am In A Dream
I Am In A Dream is the topper of the 4 I received, and it’s also inspired by Westworld!
“I am in a dream. I do not know when it began or whose dream it was. I know only that I slept a long time. And then I awoke.”
I Am In A Dream is an iridescent color shifting flake top coat. The flakes really pop against dark colors so I did 1 coat over black. The flakes shift from teal to blue to purple to magenta to red.
My Dreams Are About Frosting
My Dreams Are About Frosting was inspired by My Little Pony’s Pinkie Pie! This is a hot pink jelly base packed with dot glitters and micro bar glitters in blue, yellow, orange, pink and red. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I had no application issues with any of these shades, and I am thrilled to have Lynae back on the blog! My favorite was definitely The Maze (love the clear to black transition) followed closely by I Am In A Dream.
All of these shades are available now in the Fanchromatic Nails shop except for The Violent Delights – which I will repost closer to when it’s available. The remaining 3 are listed now.
