I have another post for today! This time I’ll be sharing the Fair Maiden Polish Twisted Fairytales Collection!
For Fall 2017, Fair Maiden Polish decided to do a collection based on the darker side of Fairytales. We all know they aren’t always rainbows and butterflies (I may or may not be listening to Maroon 5) and sometimes it’s darker. I actually really love this theme for a Fall collection. Below is the “inspiration board” Fair Maiden Polish used for the Twisted Fairytales Collection!
Aren’t the colors perfect for Fall? I’m in love!
Okay, lets take a look at the Fair Maiden Polish Twisted Fairytales Collection!
Poison Apple
Poison Apple is a deep burgundy wine scattered holographic with ruby red shimmer. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Spellbound
Spellbound is a gorgeous multichrome that shifts from magenta pink to violet to aqua blue to green to red to copper with a sprinkling of holographic shimmer. The most obvious shifts are the violet, magenta pink and aqua blue shifts. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fallen Kingdom
Fallen Kingdom is a lavender grey based multichrome that shifts from violet to red to a muted gold with a linear holographic effect. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Into The Woods
Into The Woods is my favorite of the new shades! Into The Woods is a deep brown toned multichrome that shifts magenta to orange to gold to olive, plus it has holo sparkles added to it. It’s deep, vampy and stunning. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Immortal Tryst
Immortal Tryst is probably my second pick for the collection. This is a deep but vibrant teal blue with a strong emerald green shift, as well as a scattered holographic effect. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade is very different in various lighting. The green takes over in brighter settings, but the teal shows off in normal to darker settings.
Upon Your Throne
Our final shade in the collection is Upon Your Throne. This is a warm peach that leans a bit into the pinky rose gold type shade. The base is jelly, but it only needed 2 coats because it’s packed with silver holographic microflakes and gold holographic shimmer.
I use one coat of top coat for these photos, but you might need 2 for a completely smooth finish.
Fair Maiden Polish Twisted Fairytales Collection Overview
How incredible is this collection? The colors are nice, rich and a great Fall palette! All 6 shades applied really well in 2-3 coats, and since I generally do thin coats – 2 are probably sufficient for all 6 shades if you use normal coats.
My Top Picks: Into The Woods, Fallen Kingdom & Immortal Tryst
