Happy Sunday! I was going to post this yesterday, but I thought 3 posts/videos in a day was already pushing it – so here I am with more! Today we’re going to look at the Fair Maiden Polish Tinties Jelly Set!
The Fair Maiden Polish Tinties Jelly Set released on February 1st – so they are available now. If you buy the full 8 piece Tinties set – you also get Superstar – the silver microflake base – free. This set is pretty much a fun essential in your nail art arsenal, even if you are a beginner like me, but especially if you are into stamping.
Be sure to check out all of these live swatched on YouTube, plus I recreate one of the nail art looks I have at the bottom of this post.
So all 8 of the Tinties Jellies are a nicely pigmented, syrupy like jelly. These don’t reach opacity, but because I have gel nails with clear tips, these look very stained glass like on me. These make easy gradients, smooshy base art, lead lighting and more. I prefer these over the holo microflake base – I love the added bling.
Be sure to also check out The Polished Mage’s YouTube review on these as well since she has a little bit better grasp (and patience) on nail art than I do and she did a few more techniques.
Let’s jump right in and take a look!
Fair Maiden Polish | Dear Heart
Dear Heart is a black jelly, but it has an almost navy look to it – like a blackened navy blue. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This is the most seemingly opaque shade in the set.
Fair Maiden Polish | Honey Bun
Honey Bun is a golden yellow jelly tint. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fair Maiden Polish | Love Bug
Love Bug is a grass green jelly tint. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fair Maiden Polish | Main Squeeze
Main Squeeze is a vibrant orange jelly tint. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fair Maiden Polish | Pookie
Pookie is a bright blue jelly tint. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fair Maiden Polish | Pumpkin Face
Pumpkin Face is a warm red jelly tint. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade lightly tinted my gel nails, so wear a good base in case of staining.
Fair Maiden Polish | Snookums
Snookums is a purple jelly tint. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fair Maiden Polish | Sweetie
Sweetie is a magenta pink jelly tint. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Fair Maiden Polish | Superstar
Superstar is a silver holo flake base. These are small flecks so it lays flat with no texture. This is a free gift with purchase if you buy the full set of Tinties.
I used 2 coats for these photos.
Some Nail Art…
You can use these as a base layer for stamping for a colorful look! I just randomly swiped the colors on. If you take a little more time, you can nicely blend the colors together for a neater look. I am heavy handed and impatient so this is how mine came out.
Lead Lighting!
I wanted these specifically for Lead Lighting. I like to stamp but coloring in doesn’t work well for me and I make a mess. Tinties give more room for mistakes.
I started off using a thin brush for this (look at the pink) and quickly swapped to a thin dotting tool because I got more control that way. So personally I would recommend dotting tools for this.
Fair Maiden Polish | Tinties Jelly Set
If you liked the OPI Jelly Tints back in the day – these are a better, more pigmented set to work with. It’s not as stringy either. I remember my OPI set going almost “half full bottle of quick dry top coat” immediately. These do have a syrupy consistency but are easy to work with and have a good color pay off.
Price: $60.00 Full Set (includes all 8 Tinties and Superstar)

I think main squeeze is supposed to be the red one and pumpkin face is supposed to be orange- Do you think they mixed up the labels on accident? the polishes look very similar in the bottle to me.
