This morning Fair Maiden Polish released a new Summery collection that is inspired by 80’s Summer Songs! I was a child of the 80’s so I am incredibly familiar with these songs, so I’ve had them stuck in my head since I started swatching them.
The Fair Maiden Polish 80’s Summer Songs Collection consists of 5 shades in various finishes, including a thermal, and of course have 80’s song names. Get ready to have them stuck in your head. Seriously.
Let’s take a look!
Sunglasses At Night
Sunglasses At Night is a deep purple base scattered holo with blue shimmer mixed in. There are also some additional holo microglitters mixed in for extra sparkle. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Cruel Summer
Cruel Summer is a neon melon pink with purple shimmer. My photos lean much more orange and it’s got more pink tones in person. The shimmer gives it a fun glow. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Caribbean Queen
Caribbean Queen is a gorgeous bright blue with intense aqua shimmer that give it a glowy look, plus it has holo microflecks. There is a VERY subtle violet shift in some lighting. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Heaven Is A Place On Earth
This is the song that sticks in my head the most. Heaven Is A Place On Earth is a beautiful golden beige linear holographic with intense rose shimmer that gives it a nice shift. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Karma Chameleon
Karma Chameleon is the thermal in the set! When cold it’s a beautiful pink leaning violet and a dusty mint green when warm, both states have strong red shimmer, light scattered holographic and chrome flakes that shift red to purple to blue to green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Below I’ll be showing this first in the cold state (violet) then warm (mint)
Fair Maiden Polish 80’s Summer Songs Collection
Such a fun collection! I had no application issues with any of the shades and of course I’m loving the names! The thermal is probably my favorite because it’s different than other thermals I have with the color shifts, plus the red shimmer gives it an incredible glow.
Just keep in mind, Cruel Summer is not color accurate in my photos and is pinker in person.
