In The Name of the Moon Collection Part 2

Happy Sunday! I have the newest Ethereal Lacquer release to share tonight, and it’s the In The Name Of The Moon Collection Part 2!

First things first… I have a new nail shape. I wanted to try something different. I’ve had squarish nails now for about 23 years and I was tired of them. I might eventually go back to them, but I’ve been eyeing the almond nails I bought a month ago and finally went for it. So over the next week you’ll be seeing posts flip flop back and forth between new shape and old shape (depending on when I swatched) before fully transitioning to the new shape.

Okay, so this is Part 2 to the In The Name of the Moon collection, which I swatched HERE.

Part 2 released this past Friday, along with 2 more Zodiac shades (Libra and Scorpio) and 5 different types of mystery bag listings. This time around the mystery bags say what type of finish or color will be in each bag – and everyone who orders each bag will get the same thing. So if Nick and I each order one the Luna Mystery Bag, we will both get the exact same 2 mystery polishes with a holographic finish.

At the bottom I will list each bag.

Okay – let’s jump into this collection. One other thing to note – while my bottles are round bottles, customers will receive cubic bottles like Ethereal Lacquer used to have.

Ethereal Lacquer | Moon Spiral

Moon Spiral is a cobalt blue jelly base loaded with pink to orange shimmer. You can see green at extreme angles, but only slightly, it’s more visible in the bottle. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Power Kiss

Power Kiss is a vibrant red toned pink jelly base with pink to orange shimmer and scattered holo micro flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Supreme Thunder

Supreme Thunder is my top pick from this collection – and its rare a green wins that spot.

Supreme Thunder is an ivy green jelly base loaded with pink to orange to green shifting shimmer with silver holo micro flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Dead Scream

Dead Scream is a deep emerald green jelly base loaded with multichrome shimmer that shifts teal to aqua to blue to purple to orange. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Moon Healing

Moon Healing is a pale orchid jelly base loaded with red to copper to green shifting shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Deep Submerge

Deep Submerge is a sister polish to Silver Crystal. This is a slightly blue tinted sheer base loaded with gold to green shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I show this on its own, but you can use it as a topper as well. The shimmer does give the illusion of opacity – but if you have a really strong VNL, you’ll probably want a base.

Beautifully done again, and I think I might like this set just a smidge more than the original set. If I had to pick only 3 to buy – I would grab (in order): Supreme Thunder, Moon Healing and Deep Submerge.
